Impalement is a method in which a sharp rod kind of object is pushed inside a human’s body for torture and violence.
This course of action was usually practiced during wars to punish various accusers.
Also, people had been punished for other sexual, cultural, and religious reasons.
The offenders may suffer irrecoverable injuries due to impalement. This is the reason why impalement is considered as one of the most dangerous forms of punishment.

Though this was an excruciating exercise and still haunting.
6. Crushed By Elephant — A Barbaric Act

Being crushed by an elephant was a common practice in Asia, where elephants were used for crushing people in capital punishment.
The elephants were trained to crush and torture.

Crucifixion is a brutal way of punishment, and Romans mainly practiced it.
In this act, the accuser is knotted to huge wooden intersecting, and they are left hanged till the occurrence of death.
The process usually takes six hours or maybe a few days, depending on the victim’s situation and how he can sustain himself.
Mostly the victims die because of shock and pain.
In most cases, they break the victim’s legs so they cannot move and function.
The shoulder has more burden to bear, creating more breathing problems, and ultimately, the victim dies in pain.
3. Rat Torture — The Worst Nightmare

Rat torture was the most inexpensive way of torture and penalty.
In this method, a victim is fastened on a chair, puts a small cage on their face, and then left with a starving rat who eats their facial parts.
The rats even make their way to enter the victim’s body, which becomes more harrowing.
It creates psychological fear along with severe body hurting.

It was used to crush the human body. As a consequence, the victims die in a miserable situation.
The body is then left for further decay for animals and birds.
1. Keelhauling — A Terrible Way Of Punishment

Naval forces and pirates usually practiced this during the seventeenth and eighteen century.
Keelhauling is among the cruel form of penalty in ancient times.
In Keelhauling, a suspect was supported by a rope from the pole of the ship with dense weights attached to his lower body.
Once they let go of the body in the sea, the suspect falls into the water, and he is then pulled along the keel; that is why it is called keelhauling.
The suspect is tight up firmly so that he can not swim.
Hence this is another level of torture in which the victim can not breathe and can not run away.
