I Read 52 Self-Development Books in 52 Weeks!

52 self-development books in 52 weeks challenge!

In 2019, I realised I hadn’t read many books, so during 2020 I set a goal to read 52 self-development books in a year! I wasn’t just going read the books I was going to take at least one point from each book to apply to life! Thanks to a global pandemic and multiple lockdowns I smashed my target and ended up reading a total of 108 books!

So, What did I Learn?

Reading a whopping 108 books really changed my perception I started to learn about new cultures and perceptions thus increasing my empathy. I started to see patterns in the self-development books that made me realise that if you have read ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’ by Dale Carnegie and a couple of books on Greek philosophy — mainly Stoicism, then you have basically read 85% of all self-development books. The classics tend to be better.

If you read ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’ by Dale Carnegie and a couple of books on Greek philosophy — mainly Stoicism, then you have basically read 85% of all self-development books!

Up for the Challenge?
