The Harry and Meghan Oprah Interview That Broke the Queen’s Heart
Please, Oprah, don’t act like you were surprised that it was going to be a controversial interview.
The Queen is dead and the Queen of Talk well, she has a change of heart about the royal family.
Oprah now says,
‘She Is The Standard’ “Everybody gets called the queen–there really was one.”
and that her death,
“an opportunity for peacemaking.”
But, wait there’s more, just look at this headline from the Insider,

Wait, Oprah, that is hard to believe.
And it’s 2022, people are not as naïve as we were in the 90s when what Oprah says is where the truth lies.
It was a bombshell interview and the timing was perfect. The world was very much dealing with the pandemic. Everyone wanted a few minutes away from what was going on in their lives, and learn what was going on with the lives of the royal family.
And everyone knew it was going to be a bombshell especially if the one telling the story was someone who knew the family better than anyone else — Prince Harry and his wife Meghan.
The pandemic was still raging on, people were still dying from a virus that had caused a lot of pain to a lot of people including the Queen.
A month after the Oprah interview, Prince Philip died.
The Queen lost a husband, the only family she can truly call her own, with all her children not only all grown up, but all her grandchildren were also building their own families and the world was still battling the pandemic.
Yes, Oprah, the interview while it got a lot of attention also gave the Queen a lot of grief.

“I was as surprised by the bombshell as everybody else,” Winfrey said. “I was doing an interview to offer them a platform, to tell their story about why they left.”
Winfrey went on to say that she was surprised by some of the information Harry and Markle shared with her, but added that she “didn’t set out to do a bombshell interview.”
King went on to ask Winfrey if she thinks Prince Harry and Prince William can reconcile in light of the Queen’s death. Winfrey responded, “I do not get into people’s family matters.”
“Everybody who has experienced some challenges in their families with in-laws or brothers or sisters knows how difficult some of those situations can be, and I’m sure that, you know, for the royal family it’s no different,” she said. “Nobody consults me about their family business, so I try to stay out of people’s family business.”
Winfrey’s comments to King are noticeably different from those she made to Extra’s Jenn Lahmers at the Toronto Film Festival when Lahmers asked her if there is potential for the Queen’s death to unite the royal family.

No, Oprah, you knew it was going to be a bombshell of an interview, and it broke the queen’s heart.
Unless you have changed that you came unprepared? There must be a long preparation that went into that interview.
By the time the interview was aired, the Queen’s husband was dying and Meghan had to be interviewed because she was hurting that Catherine made her cry.
Yes, there were bigger and more serious issues of racism and mental health.
All of these are valid, and the Queen herself said they had to be addressed by the family in private.
Everyone struggled in 2020–2021.
Everyone had mental health issues, and even I was told by an ex-friend that I should know better when she gaslighted me because I was suffering from mental issues, that friend also happens to be a psychologist.
So sorry to you — Harry and Meghan.
Maybe the queen was just like you a little off with her mental health, and the last thing she needed as she attended to a dying husband was an interview, to which to protect her family and the institution, she had to issue a statement.
“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” reads the statement, which was released on Tuesday by Buckingham Palace on behalf of Queen Elizabeth.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning,” the statement continued. “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
At 96, she still needed to be the one cleaning up the mess the other royals are bringing into the institution, the word used by Meghan instead of family.
So, maybe her heart had enough and besides she is better off on the other side where she can again be the daughter, the sister, and the wife.
And in the afterlife, she can rest.
