Hello friends, followers are very important in Medium, not just you need 100 followers to get into Medium’s partner program but also you need followers to keep yourself motivated.
After all, who wants to write if nobody is reading if you have loyal followers then you will always get reads, claps, and motivation, but at the same time it’s not easy to gain followers in Medium and it takes time but with these tips, you can actually gain followers and become successful in Medium
In the past, I have shared my tips to earn money on Medium, and in this article, I will share how to increase your followers on Medium.
5 Best Tips to Gain More Followers in Medium in 2023
Now, I am going to share all the tips, I have used and using to gain followers on Medium, I don’t have a large following to show but these tips are working and that’s why I wanted to share them with you, you can see from my follower count that ever since I started following these tips, my follower count has been growing consistently and steadily.
You can see that until last month, I was hardly gaining any followers but then I got serious about Medium and started writing regularly and trying my best to gain followers and now it shows in my stats too.
Last month only I got 134 followers without much effort and this month I have got 34 so far, you can also gain followers using the following tips
1. Follow others
This is my first tip to anyone starting with Medium, the first thing you should do is follow others but not blindly, you should follow people who will follow you back.
Everybody is looking for followers in Medium, especially because in order to become eligible for the Medium Partner Program, you need 100 followers, that’s why there are several threads in Medium like how I got 100 followers in 24 hours, or how to get 100 followers in 1 week where a lot of people comment and say they will follow anyone who will follow them.
These articles are a goldmine for following like-minded people and your first followers. I gain close to 40 followers by just commenting on 4 or 5 of these posts.
You can do as many as you want and gain 100 followers in a few days to become eligible for the Medium Partner Program.
2. Write Consistently
Apart from my initial effort to actively follow people to get to that 100 mark, I have not really done any following push and I am focusing more on writing content. This is actually the best way to gain followers on Medium.
All you need to do is write 1 post every day or 3 to 4 posts every week and then you will start gaining followers on auto-pilot.
More people will read your story and you will more likely to gain more followers, so just start writing regularly on Medium.

3. Write for Publication
If you are writing, you better write for publication because they have an audience, they have a big social following and they share your article on Twitter, Facebook, Email List, LinkedIn, and other networks which will give more eyeballs to your article.
And, if more people will read your article then you are likely to gain more followers without doing much. You should join as many publications as possible and start writing for them

For example, for me, Java Interview topics and writing about Medium views, followers, and the Partner Program worked and I got more earning and followers from those articles, hence I am writing more such articles because people like to read them.
5. Comments
You should read and comment on other stories on Medium to connect with other writers, if you leave insightful comments on their article, many people will see it and follow you.
In order to make the most of it, be sure to be the first to comment, and you will see that how you get more readers, views, and followers from those comments.
