How Much Money You Can Make on Medium? This is what I earned in 1 month

Wondering how much you can earn on Medium in one month? Here is my earning proof, traffic proof, and follower count which I gained in one month to give you an idea of what is possible on Medium.

To be honest, is it this kind of article which motivated me to write on Medium and that’s why I decided to share my journey as well. Not just it will benefit others who gets more motivated by seeing actual proof of earning and traffic numbers in Medium but also it document my journey.

I can always look back these articles and relive the journey. Earlier, I have shared how did I got more than 3K views in first week and today, I am going to share how much I earned on Medium partner program and refereed member earning on my first month as writer.

Medium Traffic Stats for December 2022

Anyway, here is my stats for December 2022

I wrote a lot of articles, a couple of have done well but others also went into oblivion, the key here is to keep writing and then you see what kind of articles are more successful and then you just keep writing them more.

For example, for me Java Interview articles have done really well like these 35 Java Interview Questions, Advanced Java Interview Questions, Spring Framework Interview Questions and System Design Questions and they bring the bulk of my traffic and earning.

How much I earned on Medium as a Writer in my first month

I earned total of $38 on my first month as a Writer on Medium. To be honest, I am quite happy, I didn’t expected to earn anything and $38 is a lot and that too just writing a bunch of articles.

At very least it proves that you can earn money on Medium, which itself is a big thing in this era of make money online stuff where you don’t really know what is truth and what is hype.

Out of these $38, $32 comes from Medium Partner program while $6 comes from Medium referred members. There were 3 referral, thank to them that now I have $6 of monthly recurring revenue.

Medium Followers Stats

Not just I got views and earning but I also got decent number of followers in my first month as active writer on Medium. I got more than 134 followers this month and now have total of 205 followers.

Out of these 50 are due to my active following and effort but rest of them just came because of my articles, which is great.

You can see that for long period of time, I didn’t have any follower or email subscriber forget about refereed members, but as soon as I started writing articles, things start moving and now I have views, followers, as well as earning on Medium.

So what did I learn in my first month as a writer on Medium?

1. Start writing article and things will change for you
2. Put effort to get initial 100 followers, use my tips shared here
3. Join Medium Partner program, it will motivate you to write more and better articles.
4. Write at-least 3 to 4 articles every week
5. Publish article on relevant publication, that will make huge difference
6. Share your knowledge, help others and you will also get help to grow.
