5 Stories I’ve enjoyed reading this week #1
My picks from Medium

Follow my new publication Peace, Love & Crappiness here.
I’ve been using Medium more purposefully lately. It has taken a bit of conscious thought. Rather than reading the “for you” stories (predominately clickbait), or the “Staff Picks”, I have sought out stories I want to read by writers or publications I follow, and subjects I am interested in reading about. I hope to expand my knowledge and increase my enjoyment of reading on Medium. I already love writing, I want to enhance my reading experience. And so here it starts!
Join me in thinking about what you would really like to read. Don’t just read what’s in front of you. Some of it might be good, but some of it might be garbage. Seek things out. Shape your own experience.
What I’m loving this week (please note: stories may be older but I read them in the week beginning 29 January):
How Having Too Many Interests Is Likely To Make You Successful by Kingsley Asuamah
Gist: Why being a generalist could pave the way to success
Is Reading A Dying Pastime? by John Egelkrout
Gist: The importance of raising kids to read
Perfectionism Has Your Dreams In A Chokehold by Carl Jeffers
Gist: Perfection is a myth. Just do it.
The Power of Grounding Meditation by Kim Roberts
Gist: How to find your way when you’re lost
Poetry.
Thanks for reading!
