5 Steps To Be Energized For Work

Do a 10 minute workout.

Going to work is not fun when you’re tired and grumpy. You wake up tired and have no energy to do anything. You don’t have the productivity to complete any task and do great work. You look at the clock waiting for your shift to be over. You just want to get done with the work. You just wanna go home and go back to bed.

You don’t want that.

It doesn’t have to be that way. The tips I will be giving you are the ones I’ve been doing for the last few weeks and the results are effective: I have more energy, I’m less tired, my productivity has increased and my motivation has become better. It has improved my mood and energy. I complete tasks quicker and time passes by faster than I can count. Time flies when you’re focused and concentrated.

And that’s how it should be.

1. The 10-minute workout.

I see this as a quick warm-up. Someone once told me, “You get energy by using energy.” and this is true. You use your energy to work out and you get more energy from working out as you feel pumped up. It doesn’t matter what workout you do. It can be running, jumping, weightlifting, or cardio exercise for 10 minutes before work. You get more tired and out of energy if you overwork for 1 hour. You don’t want to feel tired before going to work. You just want a quick workout enough to make you energized and pumped up.

What do cats do after sleeping? They stretch out. We can learn a lot from animals. Stretching out gives you this extra energy boost which you need to go on your day. It feels like you got extra sleep hours when you’ve stretched out.

2. Do 1 simple task.

Complete 1 small goal before you complete 1 big goal. Do one simple small task before going to work. It can be cleaning your room, washing the dishes, or draw on your sketchbook to get you into the “productivity mode” before heading to work. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Just something that makes you think. It makes you feel satisfied for achieving something before going to work.

It motivates you into completing more goals. It motivates you to go to work. It’s a short, simple EFFECTIVE brain work. Use your creativity when you have no idea what task you can do. Anything will work and it’s free to do. This is just another warmup for your brain to get you “In the zone”

This is a great brain workout and it cost nothing.

3. Wash your face with cold water.

Taking a quick cold shower can improve concentration and focus. Don’t have time to take a cold shower? No problem, you can wash your face throughout with freezing cold water to “wake up” mentally. Splash cold water to your face at least 5 times.

You will feel more alive. It gives you a “mental shock” so you wake up more and become more focused on circumstances around you. 10 seconds of cold water on your face is enough to wake up. You have no choice but to “wake the hell up.” Coldwater is refreshing.

Water is life.

4. Listen to uplifting music

Music has a great effect on our mood. It has the power to motivate us throughout the day. Music helped us to overcome our struggles. It can uplift and empower us to do anything. It can shift our mood in an instant. Uplifting and motivational music is a great way to start the day. If you can’t lift yourself up, the music will gladly do it for you. Music has been my best friend, it has motivated me, it has given me energy, it has put me in a better mood.

“We’re all affected by music. It has the power to inspire, uplift us, change our moods, and even alter consciousness.” - Andrew Weil

5. Eat breakfast with protein.

I know this is common sense to eat breakfast in the morning before work/school, but some people eat crap before work and still feel tired during the day. Ask yourself this: Are you aware of what you eat? Eat nutritious breakfast with protein can give you more energy during the day. Consider a plant-based diet. Sometimes a big glass of protein-packed smoothie is all you need to consume in your body before heading to work (If you’re in hurry and want to make a quick breakfast) You put everything into the blender. This is quick and easy.

Breakfast is a ritual and one of the best ways to start the day. Not eating anything before work makes us more triggered, annoyed, and mad. We’ll get easily annoyed by any small things that bother us. Like babies, they cry when not being fed, but when they have eaten they are satisfied, same with u grown adults. We are like babies sometimes. Our body gets annoyed when not being fed. Eating food makes us more satisfied as it’s like feeding our soul with love.

These tips worked for me in the long run. You do all these steps after getting a good night’s sleep. Sleep is your charger. It charges your energy at night so you can become more productive at work. Make your morning routine a warm-up routine for your mind, body, and soul. Your mind, body, and soul will thank you for it. Going to work is much fun when you got the energy for it. No one can make you energized for work, but you.

Work can be stressful. Don’t be hard on yourself. Take it easy, even when everyone asks you to hurry up. Your patience is being tested at that moment but it’s up to you to handle it easily with patience. You’re doing it great anyway. Tasks get completed better when you’re calm and know what you’re doing. Let life be your motivation.

With great energy comes great motivation.
