5 Reasons Why Motivation is Important To Stay On Track
It’s Time To Beat Procrastination Day:-3
Welcome you all to the third-day prompt of the theme “Procrastination”.
We have finished two prompts on this theme.
If you have missed the previous prompts here you can find them.
The above prompts helped you to find the reason behind your procrastination and how to make your monthly goals. Once, you have decided on these two things, now it’s time to go ahead.
Setting a goal is not enough. You have to fulfill those goals. To complete your goals, you need motivation.
“Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.”
—Les Brown
You need to be motivated every day to complete your daily goals. Every day is not the same day. Just like that your energy levels on different days are different. Once, you missed your goals it will affect your entire schedule.
Therefore, you have to be motivated and energetic every day to finish your daily goals. Without motivation is not possible to work on your goals. Motivation works like fuel.
Inner motivation works more than extrinsic motivation. However, you have to charge yourself every day.
5 Benefits of Motivation
- Motivation helps you to increase your productivity/energy level
When you are motivated, it improves your productivity. Motivation and productivity go hand in hand. The higher the motivation level there will be higher the productivity level.
“Focus on being productive instead of busy.”
-Tim Ferriss, American podcaster, author and entrepreneur
Productivity helps you to fulfill your goals and all your daily tasks. If you are productive, you will never miss any deadlines.
Be productive and deliver more than you expected.
2. In those dark days, motivation helps you to see possibilities
Motivation is a ray of hope. When nothing seems right, you can only do one thing. Be motivated and never stop trying.
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” -Winston Churchill
If you are in the worst situation, then there are many possibilities that you can get out of it, it’s just you have to make an effort.
3. Motivation improve your performance
If you are working just to finish all your tasks, you are not doing all of these by being happy.
When you are inspired and energetic, it affects the performance of your work. If you are happy and motivated, you will be able to do your work with 100% of focus.
If you are doing work, finishing your daily task then it is not worth it because at the end of the day you have to be happy with what you do.
4. Motivation helps you to improve your self-esteem and stability
When you are not feeling confident, you might feel anxious and depressed because of the pressure of fulfilling your goals. Once you start fulfilling your goals, it’s important to find stability in your life. Motivation will help you to be stable with your goals every day and you will be able to achieve long-term success.
5. Motivation helps you to fight your fear and make you a better person
When I asked my fellow authors about the reasons why they procrastinate. The most common answer was the “Fear of Failure”.
Fear is a thing that always forces you to do procrastinate. On the other hand, motivation helps you to fight your fear.
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
--Eleanor Roosevelt
Motivation helps you to take the challenge from which you are afraid.
These are some of the common benefits of motivation. Once you have goals, now it’s time to find your motivation.
What inspires me or motivates me doesn’t mean that the same thing inspires you as well. It’s important to find your motivation.
Sometimes, one motivational video is enough for me to feel empowered and other times I have to make an extra effort to make myself inspired.
Self-talk works best for me. When nothing works, I do 5 to 10 minutes of positive self-talk and also make some positive affirmations.
Today’s prompt is,
What are the things that inspire you the most? List all the things that motivate you.
Find your motivation. This list is going to help you a lot in the process of beating Procrastination.
It can be anything,
- Walking into a nature
- Inspirational books
- Inspirational videos
- Positive self-talk
- Your loved ones
- Writing
- Your favorite spot
Take your journal and write down all things that inspire you.
I would like to invite Shameem Anwar Sorina Raluca Băbău Libby Shively McAvoy Hamsalekha Giulietta Passarelli Arbab Z. Colleen Millstead Ilana Lydia Penelope Mayfield Lucia Landini Erica J to share their views.
You can take your time to write because I know you all have other responsibilities to fulfill. So, take your time and write.
Always grateful for your support.
Thanks
