Knowing deeply who you are can solve most of your problems.

I had a tough time understanding myself until I gave myself enough time to sit in quiet and ask myself questions so I can genuinely answer from the place of calmness within.

Who Am I? Just kidding! do not ask that unless you want to confuse yourself

I always wondered who I am and what am I doing on this planet. I mean if you think about it, we are living on a Giant floating ball surrounded by a void of darkness with some sparkles of light here and there.

Other than that, you might be a mother, father, partner, daughter, son, teacher, friend and many more. You are if not all but many personalities so let us not label who you are because no one really knows who they are.

We change, I was a naive kid once, not anymore! I am stronger, smarter, better. So are you. Who you are will always change so let’s not hold onto one label.

1. What Are My Values?

If you are not aware of what you value as a human being, you will end up resisting life most of the time.

You resist in life when you are living a life that is against your core values.

So, you better be aware of your values to help yourself.

My values are simple, always has been: Honesty, Open-Mindedness, Respectful, Virtuous.

I run my life on these four values and I try to be around people who live by the same values.

I have been in places at work, where people are not open-minded, they do not accept someone who has a different perspective than the rest easily. That is not healthy for me, I believe we need to respect others enough and have an open mind towards a new perspective.

If you know your values, you can make positive changes in your life by surrounding yourself with people who genuinely share the same energy as yours.

Knowing your values can help you in choosing your tribe, in living a life of purpose that is meaningful to you.

2. What Do I Really Want?

This question is my nightmare! There is so much to decide.

Thanks to James Clear, I am getting there!

You can start now by journaling every day what you want.

I have a new approach to simplify, What do I want Emotionally?

What do I want Mentally?

What do I want Physically?

What do I want Spiritually?

Clearly define your aims of life and make changes accordingly. Talk to yourself and listen so you can take the right action in the right direction.

Your wants might change from time to time, mine does.

Each time the answer became more precise.” ~James Clear

You need to know that in order for you to get what you want is to Decide what you want first. It is important to set clear goals so you can know that you’re not roaming in circles.

Maybe if you ask yourself enough times, you will find your answer too!

3. What Can Hurt Me? What Triggers Me?

Know your vulnerability. Know what triggers you to make the unconscious, conscious so you can consciously live your life.

In my case, people who are dishonest to me hurts me, triggers me the same.

I find it difficult to understand someone who lies, I never enjoyed it. This is something that always troubled me and made me resist life more and more because at the end of the day, people are who they are and we need to accept them. I lacked acceptance. I had this warrior personality, wanted to fix people from their dishonesty but it is not my job. After all, it is they who have to live with themselves.

You can write down five or ten words or sentences that can define what triggers you or hurts you.

Now that you are conscious of it in the present moment, you can find ways to not get triggered when something that can trigger you shows up in your life.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

~ Carl Jung

Your triggers will have less power over you if you’re aware of them.

4. Which Tasks Brings Me Peace and Ease In Life?

Why aren’t you doing it enough?

Life is simple. Let us not make it harder for ourselves.

Make time to do more of what brings peace to your life. You deserve that.

If I get too busy at work, I take a long hot shower or I paint.

I practice painting so I can bring in that peaceful energy my mind deserves.

You do not have to let the stress take over you because work-life portray that, you can choose your peace and protect it.

5. What Makes Me Happy? Always Remember This Answer.

Let’s start simple.

I would ask you to write down the answer but if you can keep it alive in your mind then that will work too. Just a reminder, we all believe that we will memorize our password but we always forget it later.

Sit in peace, relax and breathe deeply, be alone. Answer in words or sentences on what truly makes you happy?

We get easily dwell in our fast routine and forget to enjoy our life, to remember what makes us happy and to bring it to life whether in your awareness or by practicing that activity daily is good for your mental wellbeing and for knowing yourself deeper.

Jot down, it is a reminder you can go through when you are drained.

You can do something that makes you happy as a self-care routine so you can treat yourself better.

Self-awareness is key to unlocking many of the knots that keep you away from living your best. Choose to self-reflect, take enough time to understand yourself and this way you can truly approach life as you please.

You can create a better reality for yourself if you take the time to understand your answers.
