5 Pubs Who Made Me Who Am I Today On Medium

In response to Yana Bostongirl’s Prompt

This post is in response to Yana Bostongirl ‘s weekly mini prompt of Life Coloum at Coffee Times.

Her prompt ask all of us that “What pubs would you recommend and why?”

I believe publications are the soul of Medium. They provide great support to beginner writers. When you start your journey, the publication helps you a lot to increase your readership.

I know my beginning days on Medium, the publication that gave my words a place are very close to my heart. As I am not a native English speaker it was hard for me to get my work published in a publication.

The very first publication that I appreciate a lot is Illumination.

Illumination is hope for all non-native English speakers. As a beginner writer, I almost published 8 months regularly in this publication before I choose any other publications to publish my poetry.

Here’s the post I wrote to share my gratitude to this pub.

The goal of Illumination is to provide a place for everyone’s work no matter you are a beginner or a pro. They always have a place for your words.

The second publication from where my poetry started getting visibility is The Lark. My first story was chosen for distribution published in The Lark publication. I also published my first viral story in this publication therefore The Lark pub has a special place in my heart.

Synergy is the third publication in which I published so many articles related to writing and my Medium blogging experiences. It’s a wonderful publication for freelancers, bloggers, and writers.

Writer’s blokke is also a great publication that I used to publish articles related to writing.

Another publication that has a special place in my heart is my friend Trista Signe Ainsworth 's pub Thank You Notes.

A wonderful pub to share your gratitude note. Trista is a wonderful writer and an editor. Thank You Notes is a great publication mainly focusing on thankfulness and gratitude. Whenever you have to share a gratitude note, this pub is the perfect fit for all your thank you notes.

List of publications that I am using nowadays

I still use all the above publications to publish my work on an occasional basis as I want to explore different pubs on Medium. However, right now there are some of the pubs that I recently found and I am loving all of them.

The very first pub is Shorties But Goodies founded by Liberty Forrest, Author

Great pub to share short reads. I love to spread positive messages and quotes in this pub. It’s a wonderful place to be inspired by reading short forms.

I recently started publishing in her Second pub called Hope Healing, and Humour. It’s a great place to share your heart, hope, your healing journey, and Humor as well.

Another very famous publication that I use regularly is Coffee Times founded by Winston

A wonderful publication that has a place for all kinds of stories. From music to travel, you can submit all types of stories in this great publication. You can also take part in competitions organized by the owner and editors of this publication.

Unpopular Opinion is a great publication with a wonderful concept. We all have many opinions but every opinion isn’t the popular one. Melanie J. is doing a great job with this amazing publication.

Our soul in words is a publication of my friend Pene Hodge. A place where you can share the words of your soul.

As an editor and owner of three pubs, I know how hard it is to run a successful publication. There is a lot of work in front and backstage where we have to come up with new and interesting ideas to increase the reader's engagement.

Therefore, my sincere gratitude to all the pub owners and editors who are working hard to publish the work of writers. I appreciate all your efforts. Thanks for making a home for our words.
