5 of the Most Underrated Superpowers We All Have
They are simple yet powerful

You have the power to make someone’s day. You can lift them out of the dumps and change the trajectory of their entire week if you wanted. Yes, you are that powerful.
Here are 5 beautiful superpowers to help you do just that. You already have these within you, there’s no need to go find them.
Start using your superpowers today.
1. Kindness
We all have the ability to be kind. This word is thrown around a lot when we are children and then it seems to disappear when we are adults.
It’s time to re-ignite this superpower. Spread your kind words, thoughts and actions towards others. Choose to be the kindest person in the room and I promise people will gravitate towards you naturally.
As the saying goes, what comes around goes around.
When was the last time you used your kindness superpower?
Exercise: The next Medium article you read, share a kind comment for the author. I promise it will make their day.
2. Thoughtfulness
Slow down. Our society wants us to keep the ball rolling so quickly that we forget to be thoughtful.
You have the power to change the minds of the people around you. All it takes is a dose of thoughtfulness.
Before you act, take a moment. Consider what’s in front of you.
You can be thoughtful in what you say, how you write and the way you behave towards others. It’s like giving someone the gift of your time and consideration.
Exercise: The next time you’re having a conversation with anyone, slow it down. Be thoughtful in how you respond.
3. Listening
When was the last time you truly listened? The kind of listening where you mind stops buzzing and you are wholeheartedly present to what is going on around you.
Put that phone down and get present with the people in your life.
Listen to them deeply and you will activate one of your most powerful superpowers — to support others to feel seen and heard.
Exercise: At your next meal with your loved ones, listen deeply to their perspective. Shut out the distractions and tune in.
4. Attention
If you’re a parent, you know that all children want attention. Sometimes we frown upon this as a bad thing, but let’s be real, who doesn’t love being showered with attention?
Give others your time and attention. Focus wholeheartedly on who is front of you. It’s extension of your listening superpower.
The more attention you give others, the more likely they are going to do the same for you.
Exercise: The next time you’re out shopping, give your full attention to a store employee. Even if you’re just ordering a burrito. See the difference it makes.
5. Love
Your most important superpower of all.
You can be loving to everyone around you if you so choose. When you do, you fulfill one of our most innate human needs: to love and be loved.
Your love is a superpower. It’s a gift to all those you come into contact with. Don’t withhold it, give it.
Exercise: Pick one person in your life and share with them just how much you love them. Someone you haven’t told in awhile — a friend or a distant relative. See how they light up.
You have the power to make someone’s day. Remember that.
Kindness, Thoughtfulness, Listening, Attention and Love. These 5 beautiful abilities are something you were born with. Put them to good use and they will create magical things in your life.
