Important Connectors out of Beta now
How to connect Data Studio easily with Amazon Redshift and Microsoft SQL
Google now provides Connectors to main Databases

In the last few months, Google Data Studio has been upgraded considerably. Be it with new functions with which more data can be displayed (Click here), more join possibilities of data sets (Click here):

or above all new connectors like Amazon Redshift, Postre SQL databases or Microsoft SQL Servers. These are now generally available and out of their beta status [1].
Not only individually important functions but also together they complement each other wonderfully. Now you can access more databases and merge data from different systems through the new join possibilities. A big plus in the area of data integration. To present the data perfectly, you can then display more data in tables and also use many new diagrams.

Data Studio has thus become more powerful in all respects and now also offers the processing of Big Data. I hope that it will continue like this and maybe one or two more connectors will be added soon. It would certainly also be interesting to have the possibility to address Azure services such as Synapse or similar.
If need is there, Google also offers BigQuery Omni and BigLake tools to make this data available via BigQuery and then visualize it in Data Studio. Probably also the better process to standardize, especially in the area of data governance, but also more technically complex.
