4 Top Quotes To Be Thankful and Enjoy Your Life
In response to Dancing Elephants prompt 4 of 52
I find it extremely hard to choose one single quote I love. There are so many special sentences, and all of them make me think and doubt, and think again.
Yet, I was able to put together my selection of the top 4 quotes in my life. Here they are.
1.Be Thankful For What You Have; You’ll End up Having More
Oprah Winfrey
I know the powerful effects of gratitude in my life: I keep a gratitude journal on which I write down two or three things for which I are grateful every day.
Writing is like realizing that I actually need to be thankful for something. It helps me pay attention to wonderful things that surround me.
When I practice gratitude, I realize that I am a lucky person. I love and enjoy life more, I appreciate what I have, and stop thinking about what I don’t have.
The more you look around, the more thankful you become.
2. To Be Interesting, Be Interested.
Dale Carnegie
Ha! This quote seems so obvious, so why doesn’t everyone practice active listening? If you are interested in other people, you listen, ask them question, and show that you care. They will realize how special you are as a person and notice you. They will be happy to talk to you and spend time with you because you respect them.
Besides it, if you are interested in what you do, other people will notice it. They will recognize your passion and feel your special energy.
3. You’re Never A Loser Until You Quit Trying.
Mike Ditka
Yes, I am a loser.
I think about this quote every time I am ready to change my plans and quit. I tell myself that giving up means losing all the time and energy I invested in that specific project.
Yet, I think I have been a loser quite often. I had to change my plans because of lack of time, lack of money or tiredness.
I think we all lose sometimes, but we should accept it as part of our life and stop considering a loser a person who didn’t make it, but a person who tried.
4.There’s A Special Place In Hell For Women Who Don’t Help Each Other.
Madeleine Albright
You were right, dear Madeleine! Most women help each other every day, yet there are just a few of us who only want to poison the other girls.
They don’t want you to improve, to get a better job, to be happy. They do their best to limit your success, concealing their actions behind false motivation. I have met some of them, and they can cause a lot of harm, especially if you are sensitive like me.
One personal story: some time ago I gave a speech to a group of your women, and I decided to start with this sentence.
I received thunderous applause.
At the end of the speech, I told the audience: Go for your life!
That’s a quote I should tell myself every day!
