Lack of motivation often arises from a disconnection between the undertaking and our interests or aims. Do this by giving personal meaning to each task, or rewarding yourself after every one. Turn the mundane into a game. Every little win gives you energy and satisfaction.
- Perfectionism: It is the artist who doesn’t let her works see the light of day, wanting them to be just right. But perfection is a mystique, an illusion that vanishes the closer you approach. A Pomodoro session generally lasts 25 minutes long, adjust its length to your attention span and the kind of work you are doing. Maybe others would find a 50-minute session with a 10-minute break to be most effective, or perhaps even shorter concentrations of focus.
