3D Zentangle Drawings (a set of six pieces)

The Zentangle Method is an relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. The Method deconstructed (looked) difficult patterns into various steps, and repeatedly drawing the same pattern to create an atmosphere and eventually achieve relaxation.
Revisit the 8 Basic Steps
Here we revisit the the 8 Basic Steps of The Zentangle Method:
1. Gratitude and Appreciation • For the opportunity to learn and/or draw • For the materials and for the people learn with you
2. Corner Dots • Do it with pencil
3. Border • Defines the space, whether you are using a standard or bigger paper tile • draw with a pencil
4. String • Defines a structure of sections (4 for beginners) within the paper tile •draw with a pencil
5. Tangle • Choose whatever section and drawing with deconstructed pattern within the section • Drawn with a pen. • Usually black pen for beginners.
6. Shading • Adds contrast and 3D feelings on the tangles you drawn • May use light pens (usually white charcoals) for light effects • Done with pencil
7. Initial & Sign • Initial the front with you personalized signature • Add comments at the back of the paper tile
8. Appreciate again • With an arm’s length, view your Zentangle piece and you will be amazed • View in Mosaic for a group of participants
Try 3-Dimensional
In 2020, I tried to adopt the Zentangle techniques with a 3D presentation. Thus in a month or so I created a total six Zentangle-inspired art. Each of them is a complete 2D creation only by a micron pen and a pencil for shading, but you can see them a complete 3D view from a specific angle.

The above paper plane is my first 3D Zentangle tile. with the support of the background “Shattack pattern” and a distinctive angle to shoot, the paper plane floats!

Later I created these two 3D Zentangle pieces, but frankly these are not my favourite. As I like botanical tangle much more than other types of patterns, later I created a few more.

These two are my favorite ones as they have incorporated the floral concept and amazing they are just 2D papers.
Later on I will share more about my other thematic Zentangle drawings. If you have inspired by my art, please give me some claps and follow my page :) You are also most welcomed to join as a Medium Member via my referral link below:
