3 Ways to Contribute To Your Abundance With Joy

It can happen effortlessly

You have brilliance in you, your contribution is valuable, and the art you create is precious. Only you can do, and you must. — Seth Godin.

A beautiful experience happened yesterday. I did my accounting and allocated part of the money to our Europe travel fund. I had written out a check to deposit into the fund and placed it on our front table. We dream of taking a trip to the U.K. and France. On my 100-day journey exploring abundance, today, I see an overflow of contribution in many forms.

Later on, my son came downstairs. Out of the blue, he handed me a twenty-dollar bill. He said that he wanted to contribute to the Europe fund too. He also told me he did not want to be a freeloader. I love his sense of humor!

What I love about my son is how he decided on his own. He is learning to contribute by watching our actions and attitudes.

Lately, my son has also contributed to the household by making all of the beds. It all started with a daily routine list that I created for him. I taught him how to make a bed, and he was off and running.

Then, he took it upon himself to make all of the beds and tidy upstairs. I love how responsible he is becoming all on his own. He now prompts dad to pick up his robe and hang it up. How amazing is that?

Abundance can appear in many forms, and it is effortless.

Today I want to share with you three ways you can contribute to your abundance.

Contribute to your dreams:

I learned from my husband how to contribute to dreams early on. We set up several online savings accounts for specific purposes. We have funds for a new phone, a new car, travel, household repairs/remodeling, a college fund, and more. We even have one called fun fund!

Every time our checking account is above a certain amount, we contribute to a different fund. Each of them gets money contributed monthly.

In this way, we are growing our dreams one contribution at a time.

I love this system because it is simple and easy. Labeling each account for something different adds power to it. It says to the universe that we believe in our dreams.

Contribute to your home:

When you choose to keep your home clean and clutter-free, this too adds to your abundance. It is a statement to the universe that you care about your environment.

It also speaks volumes about the space you leave for abundance to flow to you. When you clear away things that do not serve you, you contribute an overflow of space to yourself.

Each time we choose to let go, we also choose to let in something else.

It is a beautiful, ever-changing process. There will always be things to evaluate in our homes and lives. When we decide to embrace letting go, we allow more.

Contribute to your relaxation:

Setting aside time to relax each day is paramount for letting more flow into your life. I used to be a workaholic. I needed to fill time with activities every moment of the day. Even after dinner, I would continue to work.

Now, I set aside time in the afternoon and evening to relax. I do not feel guilty if I watch a show or two at night. That means just sitting there, bundled up in a blanket, enjoying the moment.

I used to think I needed to work, even while watching TV.

Sometimes I still fold laundry or iron while watching TV, but not every day. Allowing myself to relax into my days has been life-changing. It is a contribution to my abundance to have this downtime.

My prayer for you today is for you to contribute to your abundance. You may choose to pursue one of these ideas in your own life. I hope that abundance flows to you with ease.
