3 Tiny Tricks That Will Ignite an Explosion of Reads for You!
My reads are up over 100% in the past 6 days using these tricks!
Can’t read the full story because you’re not a member of Medium yet? Read it here.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet. And valuable.
There’s no need to use a lot of words. So buckle up, baby! Here we go. Oh — one more thing!
Because you took time to read this story — and didn’t just clap for the title (who does that?) — I’ve got two bonuses for you.
I’d say you’re welcome, but you earned them. Congratulations!
Three tiny tricks create huge results
- Comment on your story as soon as it’s published (accidental discovery). Thank the publisher or add a note for your audience. You get an immediate comment.
- Add a friend link at the top of your stories for non-members. You will make way more in the long run (example at top of this story).
- Clap AND highlight other people’s comments when you’re leaving a comment. Clap and highlight any meaningful comments (read them first). Added note: you have to highlight from the main window, not the slider on the right.
Easy peasy! These are small but their effect is not. Do them for a few days and you’ll see. Of course, you have to write an enticing title or these are less effective.
If you need help writing powerful titles, click the link. But first, collect your bonuses.
The Bonuses
4. Take inspiration from others, but dig deeper.
- Explore the tag(s) that match your story.
- Look through titles for ones doing great.
- If nothing inspires you, combine a couple of them. Don’t copy. Mimic. (Every time you’re struggling for an idea).
5. Highlight your own story.
- Choose 1–3 key thoughts or takeaways.
- But use it sparingly.
Write a good headline and you’ll get a good boost. But if you can write a great headline, the results could be enormous. Good luck!
