3 Simple Steps to Becoming Unstoppable Now
It Really is Easier Than You Think
When you think of things that are unstoppable what comes to mind? Your list might include everything from a 2 year old’s tantrum to the speed of light and a world of options in-between.
My preferred visual is that of a boulder rolling down hill. It starts slowly. It may get slowed by smaller rocks in its path. In time it picks up speed and gains momentum in the process. It becomes unstoppable until it reaches the bottom of the hill and goes as far as its momentum carries it on flat ground.
That boulder is incapable of rolling up hill by itself. You and I are different from that boulder. We have the capability to become unstoppable rolling uphill and gaining speed and momentum in the process.
So if you’re ready let’s get started.
Step #1 To Becoming Unstoppable Now … Absolute Clarity
Think about that boulder as it is rolling down hill. If there are lots of rocks, bushes, trees, exposed roots and more in its path it will be slowed and perhaps even its direction will change. If the path down the hill is free of obstruction it moves quickly and on target to its destination at the bottom of the hill. It becomes unstoppable.
Clarity gives us a path that is free of slowing and diversionary obstacles. Without that the ride becomes much bumpier. We keep being derailed by life’s version of rocks, bushes, tree roots etc.

Step #2 To Becoming Unstoppable Now … Persistence
During WWII Winston Churchill almost single handedly rallied a nation. At a time when all of continental Europe had fallen to the Nazis and London was experiencing nightly bombing raids his mantra to the British people was “never give up”.
And they didn’t. Ultimately the US entered the war and the tide was turned. As the Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy, the Italian boot and the desert of North Africa the Allies persisted in the face of hardship, heartache, death and mayhem. They never gave up and ultimately prevailed and brought peace and prosperity to so many on both sides of the conflict.
That is persistence. It continuing to do what you know is right in the face of adversity, doubters, hardship and heartbreak.
It is not allowing procrastination or rationalization to dim your focus and slow your progress. Ray A. Kroc built a world wide enterprise from a small hamburger joint founded by the McDonald brothers. He said:
Press on: Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful individuals with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are important.
Remember this. Persistence is a choice. It is not like some are born with a persistence gene or others have a degree in persistence. It is simply a matter of individual choice and commitment.
Step #3 To Becoming Unstoppable Now … Accountability
Accountability is all about the commitments we make and how we honor them. Commitments to other people are important but if you want to be unstoppable it is all about making and keeping commitments to yourself.
Are the commitments you make things that move you towards your long term goals? If you want to be unstoppable they must be.
Do you prioritize the commitments you make to yourself the same way you prioritize your commitments to others? Without doing this you will never be unstoppable because you will be telling yourself that their priorities are more important than your own. How can you be unstoppable when you are not a priority in your own life?
If you want to be unstoppable your Power of Why has to be so compelling it is continually propelling you forward. You can learn more about that here.
Making daily commitments to yourself (your personal action plan) as to what you will do today sets you firmly on the path each morning and a personal accountability session each evening about how you have kept those commitments secures your progress.
Clarity, Persistence and Accountability are the winning trifecta to become unstoppable. Are you ready?
