3 Signs You're a Free Spirit Who’s Not Going to Conform

1. You Enjoy Standing Out

You know that in the crowd, it’s easy to get lost. Amongst the herd, you risk getting trampled on. This is why you won’t be found mingling with the crowd or walking amidst the herd. You want to be odd so you can stand out.

Your happy place is outside of it.

Out of the matrix. Outside of the crowd. Out from the herd. Outside of the room. Out in nature. Outside of the box. Out of the prison of your mind. Not having anything to do with the drama. You stay out of that too.

When you’re outside, you breathe better. You observe better. You can see better to help those who need help.

You refuse to conform to the expectations of other people. You won’t do what others want you to. The decisions you make will not follow what other people usually do. It’ll always be what your soul is nudging you to do.

Society will probably think you’re weird for how you live, but you see nothing wrong with the term.

It’s your weirdness that makes you cool.

You’re eccentric and unconventional. You don’t live by the rules of society or go down the path everyone takes. You go where you feel called.

This is not because you’re a rebel or renegade like people think you are, but because you're your own person. You know who you are and what you're here to do.

You’re sufficient for yourself even if society rejects you. You reject society right back.

You reject societal norms and popular opinions. You do your own thing. You don’t take part in or follow silly trends but that doesn’t mean you don’t like them. You love trends so much that you set them. You’re a trendsetter.

A way-shower. Free spirits are the way-showers who pave ways where there is no way. You go where no one has gone, find or create new paths leading to the destination, and show them to people.

Your happy place is outside of it. Out of the matrix. Outside of the crowd. Out from the herd. Outside of the room. Out in nature. Outside of the box. Out of the prison of your mind. Not having anything to do with the drama. You stay out of that too.

2. You Need Freedom Like Air

Freedom is your life force. If the world tried to take away your freedom, they'd be taking your life force. You’d suffocate and won’t be able to breathe because freedom is like air to you. You need it like the air you breathe.

Strict schedules are like poison to your soul, and boring routines are like toxins to your spirit.

A free spirit will not work a traditional 9–5 job. You may do it as you find your purpose, but it won’t be for too long.

It’s not uncommon to see free-spirits become self-employed as they enjoy the freedom that comes from working for themselves.

You’re a natural-born leader. It’s what you came here to be.

You gravitate towards artistic and creative careers that society warns you against. Teaching, hairstyling, graphic designing, blogging, photography, chefs, coaching, painting, musicians, writing, etc. These kinds of careers call and give you the freedom to live your life on your own terms. It gives you all the time in the world to explore and go on fun adventures.

You live for adventure.

You love traveling the world and visiting new places. As you travel, you learn new things from different people and places, which helps you grow and evolve on a soul level.

You enjoy roaming the earth and filling up the pages in your passport and you’re content flying alone if that’s what it takes. When you go alone, you can go as fast or as slow as you want.

Freedom is like air to you. You need it like the air you breathe.

3. You Live Fearlessly

You live fearlessly because you know you are divinely guided and protected. You know that no harm will come near you.

You aren’t afraid to pursue your big dreams, insane goals, intense passions, and soul missions that seem way too big and crazy to others.

You know you can do anything.

You have a big, open mind and a heart that takes you where others can only dream of.

This is not to say that free-spirits have no fears.

Of course, you sometimes have fears, but you have an even bigger faith!

Fear comes, but you don’t allow it to hold you back. You see fear as an invitation to charge through every barrier and break through the stronghold in your life to unlock your hidden potential.

You're a free spirit and so you're free from fear and anything else that tried to bind you. You’re here to be free to live in a way that feels good.

You're here to live your life your own way and on your own terms. Your journey is your race and you're going at your own pace with no pressure to go fast or slow.

You’re not here to be like me or anyone else.

You’re here to be one thing and one thing only. You’re here to be you and all that you came here to be.
