3 Reasons Why I Wrote What I Wrote
It is not my intention to ostracize anyone

1. The Snake in The Grass
Imagine we’re two friends hanging out on a nice summer day. I tell you that I’m going outside to the lawn to get some fresh air. I return with a horrid look on my face. You ask me what’s wrong. I take a long pause, wondering if I should tell you about the snake I just saw outside in the grass. I know if I tell you, you’ll not want to go out there and so I say nothing and we keep hanging out.
Later, you tell me you’re going out on the lawn to stretch your legs. Although very worried about you, I say nothing because I want you to go and do as you please and I would hate to take your freedom.
But just as I feared, you return crying, saying you got bitten by a snake in the grass. I say, “Oh yeah, I saw that snake earlier. That’s why I had that horrid look on my face.”
If you were my friend, what would you say? You would say, “Why the hell didn’t you tell me and let me go out there and get bitten?”
You would even stop hanging out with me!
Would coming inside to tell you that there’s a snake in the grass so do not go out there on the lawn be forcing my beliefs on you? No! It would prevent you from suffering any harm because then you would keep your eyes open.
That’s why I wrote what I wrote.
A true friend warns you of the dangers on the spiritual path.
2. I Care About You
Before I grew up, I used to wonder why certain believers wouldn’t just shut the hell up about what they thought they knew and always felt the need to shove it down my throat.
I’ve been on an awakening journey for many years now and I’ve seen and done it all. I’ve sought after angels and spirit guides. I’ve studied astrology and watched many tarot card readings. I’ve played around with crystals which I adore. And I’ve encountered God.
I’ve done all the spiritual things, engaged in all the spiritual practices, and been in all the spiritual places and I’ve seen a very poisonous snake lying on the grass!
What kind of spiritual teacher would that make me if I only told you about the pretty flowers and butterflies outside and didn’t tell you about the snake in the grass?
Telling you about the damned snake doesn’t mean I take away your freedom or take the fun out of your spiritual awakening. You can still get out there and get some fresh air, but with the information I give you, you keep your eyes open for when the snake is crawling for your heel!
I couldn’t understand those believers then who wouldn’t shut up about their faith, but now that I’m all grown-up, I understand.
They’ve seen a snake in the grass!
What kind of spiritual teacher would that make me if I only told you about the flowers and butterflies out there and didn’t tell you about the snake in the grass?
3. It’s What Friends Do
If I came running in after seeing the snake and said nothing and I watched you go out there and got bitten, would I be a good friend for keeping quiet? Would you love me more for letting you be free to do what you wanted?
Would you hate me for warning you? A true friend warns you of the dangers on the path, no matter what.
I don’t want you to get bitten by a poisonous snake. I don’t want you to fucking die! That’s why I wrote the book!
But this is the most important thing: I’m called onto a godly spiritual path and chosen to do godly works and that’s no secret. I understand that not everybody is on the same path and so not everyone may see the snake, but it is part of my spiritual work to warn those on that same path as me of the snake in the grass!
But for those who aren’t on a similar path, it is not my intention to ostracize you or make you feel some kind of way. If you’re on a much different path than me and you got your hands on the book and you feel ostracized, understand that the messages and warnings in the book aren’t for you. There may be no snake on your path and so you can keep going down that path.
If your path is different and you see no snakes, then you’re simply the wrong audience for the book and not necessarily that you’re on the wrong path or that you’ve woken up on the wrong side.
Not every message is for you.
You have to know when to receive a message and when to reject a message that’s not for you without the need to shoot the messenger!
Maybe you’re a snake whisperer who fears no snakes, and that’s great but for many of us on a godly path, snakes are fucking dangerous and so if we have friends who may go out in the grass, we must warn them no matter what.
With that said, I must specify the proper audience for “100 Billion Souls.”
The book was written for the godly. It says so in the subtitle. It is for the one awakened soul who feels called by God to go down the godly path, and obviously, that isn’t every spiritual person.
For everyone else, you can stay on your chosen path.
Your path is yours and you deserve to be shown love and respect regardless of if it’s different. I’m friends with many spiritual people who don’t give a fuck about God but still work from their highest intention with a pure heart and strive to do good. And if in the end, we die to find that God is real; he checks the heart to see what’s there.
And for those who can handle the snake in the grass and can still love and understand other people’s fear of snakes, and their urge to warn others, I think you’re on the right path.
Love will always be the right path.
