3 Proven Ways to Change Your Personality
It is not enough to want to change. You must take action.

Have you ever wondered if it was possible to change your personality? Probably not.
There are so many excuses as to why we can’t change our personality that it’s hard to believe that anything could work.
However, there are ways! Here, are three ways to change your personality for the better.
1. Understand that change is possible
Often, the first step to improving your personality is understanding why you can’t change. Why can’t you change your personality?
If your attitude, energy, or motivation can change over time, then there’s absolutely no reason why your personality shouldn’t change in the same way.
But if your identity is always the same, the reason may be because of deep-rooted emotional issues.
These deep-rooted issues can take time and effort to overcome. However, if you can start dealing with these issues, your energy and personality can start to change.
Sometimes, we become stuck in a mentality, where our habits and thoughts are so ingrained that we’re unable to change them.
This is because our habits and beliefs have become part of us. But the key is to start changing our behavior.
2. Identify your personality
According to Dr. Robert Emmons, there are 3 general personality types: conscientiousness, extraversion, and openness.
Identify your personality type, and then you’ll have a better idea of how to change it.
Redefine your values
Take a look at what your current values are, and then decide what you want to add to your list.
By changing them, we can get new and better things.
Find your purpose
Somebody once said to me, personal change happens when we understand the problem that we want to change.
When we understand the problem, we can then focus on the things that can help change it.
3. Understand why you need to change
To become a better person is to change the attitudes and behaviors that hinder your growth and well-being.
Various components need to be addressed to become a better person.
To change the way you think, the way you feel, and the way you behave, you must know why you are doing it.
You have to know why you are doing something before you can change it.
