Nonfiction: Very Well is a disease, condition, and treatment-specific site, so if accepted as a writer, this is the type of content you would be responsible for. All articles are backed by research from primary sources. Although the subjects you would write about may be complicated, you must write the articles so anyone can understand these topics.

Nonfiction: They are looking for articles and tutorials from freelance writers. If you go to the link, you will see the basic information about what they are looking for and what they offer. It also links to a 4-page google doc that breaks down the process even further. This breakdown includes links, style, tone, length wanted (1,5000–2,5000), and invoicing. They currently pay $32500 for each accepted post.

Texas Monthly is a magazine about everything in Texas — from city guides, arts & entertainment, news & features, and of course, food.
Nonfiction: The website only lists pay as being competitive, but multiple sources online have them listed as $1.00 a word, including Who Pays Writers. In fact, one of the who pays writers submissions was for a 7,200-word article, so that would have been $7,200.00. Not bad.
This magazine is run out of Austin, Texas. They are especially interested in what is happening in Texas outside of the Austin area. The website is divided into 3 sections:
- News & Politics.
- The Culture (Covering performing arts, visual arts, music, TV, film, sports, dance, books, poetry, and religion).
- Being Texan (stories about living in Texas, Style & Design, Food & Drink, BBQ, and Travel & Outdoors)
