It also links to a 4-page google doc that breaks down the process even further. This breakdown includes links, style, tone, length wanted (1,5000–2,5000), and invoicing. They currently pay $32500 for each accepted post.

Texas Monthly is a magazine about everything in Texas — from city guides, arts & entertainment, news & features, and of course, food.

Nonfiction: The website only lists pay as being competitive, but multiple sources online have them listed as $1.00 a word, including Who Pays Writers. In fact, one of the who pays writers submissions was for a 7,200-word article, so that would have been $7,200.00. Not bad.

This magazine is run out of Austin, Texas. They are especially interested in what is happening in Texas outside of the Austin area. The website is divided into 3 sections:

  • News & Politics.
  • The Culture (Covering performing arts, visual arts, music, TV, film, sports, dance, books, poetry, and religion).
  • Being Texan (stories about living in Texas, Style & Design, Food & Drink, BBQ, and Travel & Outdoors)
