3 Methods I Use to Never Lack Inspiration for My Articles

In the first days of my non-fictional writing journey, I was met with the dilemma of wanting to keep my blog active with quality content I was proud of but finding it hard to stay inspired on regular basis.

So this led me into trying out methods that could help me solve this issue.

That’s why today I’d like to share with you 3 methods I use to never lack inspiration for my articles.

These are:

1-Reading

2-Pinterest

3-Music

1-Reading

There is an amazing quote by Mike Crittenden that has helped me a lot with my overall writing journey and it is: “If you’re overthinking, write. If you’re underthinking, read.”.

For non-fictional writers especially, it can be an issue to find something that is worthwhile to share on a regular basis. So that’s why, for times like this, reading can be a life-saver.

I’ve found that whenever I read a book, it inspires me to think differently, and thus discover brand new subjects to write about. This also enriches your writing as you share quotes from these books.

That’s why whenever I’m underthinking, I find some time to read, and feel inspired again.

2-Pinterest

Pinterest may be one of the best tools for one to feel inspired, and so it certainly helps with writing as well.

Whenever I feel like I don’t know what to write about, I search for quotes and read the ones that I find interesting. By doing so, I feel inspired by all these different perspectives, and ideas.

Sometimes I add these quotes into my articles and expand on them. Other times, what I read reminds me of something else that I could write about, but either way, I feel inspired again to share something with the world.

3-Music

The effect listening to music has on us is quite remarkable. It can change our mood, take us back in time, or ass flavor to the moment we are in.

So when it is used intentionally it can also be powerful.

That’s why listening to music can also be beneficial for writers, and help them to write in a flow state.

In my writing process, I always play some music, and although the genres change with the mood I wish to write in, it helps me to enjoy writing more and helps me to feel more inspired.
