3 Easy Steps to Build A Truly Powerful Mindset
A recipe for sustainable mental strength

In our daily lives, our mindsets affect the way we see the world massively.
That’s why, today, I’d like to share with you 3 steps to build a truly powerful mindset, and these are:
1-Practicing Stoicism
2-Learning to differentiate reality from your feelings
3-Having an accurate importance scale
1-Practicing Stoicism
Among all the philosophies I have studied, Stoicism has been the one that transformed my life the most.
When it comes to building a powerful mindset, stoicism is one of the most efficient tools to be used. This is because it teaches you to live a life that doesn’t revolve around the external world, and by practicing it, your inner chaos calms down with time.
Although there are many areas of life this philosophy covers, one that will do wonders to our minds is to differentiate between what we can control and what cannot. The things we can control consist of two things, and these are; our thoughts and actions.
And when it comes to things we do not have control over, it is everything else except these two things.
By making this differentiation, we can protect our mental energy and have a powerful mind by using it more effectively.
2-Learning to differentiate reality from your feelings
To be led by our emotions and believe everything they say is not a rare occurrence for most of us. But due to the complexity of our psychology, the vision of our emotions can get blurred.
That’s why learning to differentiate reality from your feelings is an important step in building a strong mindset.
In her article, Brianna Wiest explains this perfectly, and it goes as:
“You have to be able to separate your feelings from reality, because if you start losing touch with reality, your emotions become reality, and that’s a dangerous place to be.”
3-Having an accurate importance scale
The way we perceive events, and their importance is purely a subjective matter, and that’s why it is up to each individual to be mindful of their own importance scale.
This is essential because when we get too caught up in things that only matter momentarily, it leads to us neglecting the things that’ll be important in the long term.
So it is important to have an importance scale focused on the amount of actual effect that an event will have in our life.
By choosing where we invest our time and energy more carefully, we can have a more balanced, and organized mind.
