Summary

The website content discusses two methods for falling asleep quickly, based on techniques used by the US Army and a TED talk by Jim Donovan.

Abstract

The article outlines two unique techniques designed to help individuals fall asleep within two minutes. The first method, derived from US Army training, involves relaxation exercises and pressing a specific point on the hand to induce sleepiness. The second method, introduced by Jim Donovan in a TED talk, suggests a rhythmic clapping and breathing pattern to promote relaxation and sleep. The author has personally tested these methods and found them effective, especially after adopting a new diet that has improved their energy levels and mental clarity. The article encourages readers to try these techniques and share their results.

Opinions

  • The author highly recommends the new diet they have adopted, which has significantly increased their energy levels and cognitive function.
  • After watching YouTube videos on sleep techniques, the author found the methods shared by Dr. Mandell and Jim Donovan to be particularly interesting and effective.
  • The author expresses a positive experience with the first sleep technique, noting a strong desire to sleep after following Dr. Mandell's steps, particularly the hand pressure point.
  • The second technique, involving rhythmic clapping and breathing, is also positively reviewed by the author, who suggests it can be adapted by clapping on different body parts.
  • The author is optimistic about their sleep schedule improvement and invites readers to experiment with these methods and report back on their effectiveness.

2 Minutes to Fall Asleep

I watched two YouTube videos with unique techniques that I tested, and I will use the next two weeks to fall asleep quickly

Last week, I noticed that I had a lot of energy. The reason was my new diet and meal limitations. If you want to learn more, read the article below.

I love this diet, and now I can think much better.

However, sometimes I find it difficult to fall asleep, so I watched some YouTube videos to find an answer and techniques for falling asleep quickly.

I’ll share two techniques for falling asleep in this article in two minutes or less.

Method #1

In this short video, Dr. Mandell tells us what techniques soldiers in the US Army use to fall asleep under any conditions.

I found it interesting, so let me share an algorithm he describes with you.

  1. Be in a quiet room without any lights.
  2. Turn off all notifications on your devices.
  3. Sit at the edge of your bed.
  4. Press the bone on your left palm under your little finger for 15–20 seconds (Watch the video above to understand where exactly you should press)
  5. Deep breathe and try to relax every point of your body from top to bottom.
  6. Slow exhale and feel the relaxation in the whole of your body.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 several times.
  8. Lie down on your bed and continue breathing slowly.

I tried this technique while watching the video and felt very relaxed and with a desire to sleep. Sounds lovely to me.

This feeling came to me when I pressed on the particular bone from step 4 and started breathing.

Try this technique before you sleep and check if it also works for you.

Method #2

I love TED videos because each time the speaker talks about a particular issue we all face, he provides a solution.

In this video, Jim Donovan told how he was sleeping only 4 hours per night and had problems with anxiety and sleeping.

Shortly afterward, he proposed the following technique: to feel relaxed and fall asleep quickly.

  1. Sit on the edge of your bed
  2. Close your eyes
  3. Start lightly clapping your hands on your leg
  4. Take slow breaths while clapping
  5. Slow down the beat
  6. Lie down on your bed and continue breathing slowly

I also tried this method while watching the video. It works even if you clap your legs, shoulders, and other body parts; do it slowly and carefully.

Summary

I had problems with my sleep the whole last week. With this new information, I plan to fall asleep much faster and set a good sleep schedule.

This information is helpful to you. Please try it next night and let me know what results you get. I’d be happy to see them!
