15 Complaints and Gripe Stories about Various Medium Issues!
Have you had similar experiences as these writers?

Writing and publishing for writers on Medium can be mentally exhausting, in one way or another.
Not a month goes by, without some new community issues to be concerned about among the members.
After reading a recent story by writer Casimiro Filipe, I got the idea about a great story theme to include in this new Story Curators publication. The theme is:

The title of the story that prompted this latest theme was:
An Open Letter to the Medium Partner Program Team — We have just consumed the first two months of the New Monetization Rules and the Engagement Bug remains.
The story sums up exactly how so many writers like Casimiro feel, regarding the exciting changes we were told to look out for from August 2023 and onward.
To put it plainly, according to the story, the new system “…isn’t working”.
Of course, I readily agreed, and I said so in the comment I left.
But then I began to wonder what difference it really makes, whether we speak out about these things or not.
The bottom line is — we have two choices.
1) We stick around and deal with it (either quietly or vocally, but either way, we remain).
OR
2) We pack our bags and say goodbye — for good. Not temporarily, or just long enough to fool around on other sites, while we stay committed here. Go for good.
Those are the only two options, when deciding how to view the pitiful state of our stats and earnings.
Most of the seasoned writers in the community have already figured this out.
We cry. We vent. We blow off stem. But we’re still here.
And when we least expect it, things on the platform have a way of turning around for the better.
That’s if we can just wait it out…
I made a point of reminding myself of this fact; telling myself to be patient and eventually things will get better.
What else can I do, with hundreds of previously published stories to worry about uprooting (like kids in a bad marriage)?
I have to believe that the crap on this platform will eventually do like all good manure and finally start making things grow — namely our stats and income.
Until then, I decided to list some previous stories, that talk about when the Medium community was going through some rough patches.
Remembering that we’ve gone through some bad times before and survived, can help those of us who’re thinking about taking flight.
If you’ve been writing on Medium for the past two years or more, you may recall some of these problems, complaints, gripes, and other negative situations.
Some are old and the issues have been resolved by now. But some of the same complaints still continue to ring out in the community.
Whether you agree with the views in the stories or not, there’s no denying that the following writers all present valid points.
Recall some past issues on Medium
Sometimes it helps to look back and see what obstacles you were able to overcome in the past.
The following gripe stories — if that’s what you want to call them — were published by myself and other writers who were equally frustrated.
As you will see by the titles alone, we felt very vocal about whatever was going on at the time.

Final Thoughts
These stories and situations are just a drop in the bucket, compared to all the issues that members have voiced complaints about in the past.
But whether the problems have come and gone, or whether more reasons for being disgruntled still exist; our choices remain the same.
Which one will you choose…?
Personally, I seem to be in it for the long haul, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop complaining. 😄
Thanks for visiting…

BTW — You can create your own list of gripe stories (if you don’t already have one), and submit it for publication.
