12 Things To Do in London for Teenagers

Cool things to see and do in London

No matter how old you are, London is an amazing city, full of things to do. But a teenager can be hard to please. So what to do in London when traveling with teenagers? To answer this question, I asked my teenagers and their friends. This is what they like to see and do when in London.

1. Go to a musical

We love Mamma Mia at the Novello Theatre. This is one of the ultimate feel-good musicals in London.

2. Drink Frappuccino at Starbucks

Visit a Starbucks and order Frappuccino because it’s a cool thing to do. They will appreciate you giving them opportunities to create something to publish on TikTok.

Bonus: parents can enjoy an excellent black coffee in a comfortable chair while the teenager is busy with TikTok.

3. Shopping at Primark

The girls I asked prefer shopping at Primark because they have awesome goods, and that’s where they get the most bang for their buck.

4. Disney Store (shopDisney)

Check out a Disney Store. Being a Disney fan has no age limit. This store is a magical experience for children of all ages.

Be sure to bring some Disney treasures home, giving you joy for a long time. My teenagers and I highly value the Christmas decorations we bought at the Disney Store.

5. Madame Tussauds

At Madame Tussauds, you’ll find realistic wax figures of celebrities. Here the teenagers get the opportunity to take pictures with a star. This attraction is entertaining for both teenagers and parents.

See what’s inside Madame Tussauds London.

6. Harry Potter

London has a lot to offer all Harry Potter fans. Exploring the Harry Potter World London (Warner Bros Studio Tour London) lasts about 3 hours and is packed with details a Harry Potter fan will love.

You can also visit King’s Cross Station, where The Hogwarts Express departs from, at Platform 9¾. There you’ll find the legendary trolley disappearing into the wall.

7. Jack the Ripper walks

Follow in the footsteps of Jack the Ripper, the gruesome serial killer who killed at least 5 women in and around Whitechapel in East End in 1888. This is a true and dark story for those who want to experience some horror.

Although there is no age limit, it is recommended from the age of 12–14. Know your teenager. This may not be for everyone.

8. Tower Bridge & Big Ben (the Elizabeth Tower)

Visit these well-known landmarks, which are the perfect places for a London selfie. Teenagers will probably think it’s fun to see the famous clock tower and the iconic bridge. At least mine do.

In 2012 the Clock Tower was renamed the Elizabeth Tower. The Clock Tower is commonly called Big Ben, but Big Ben is the name of one of the bells inside the tower.

9. London Eye

The London Eye (a Ferris wheel) is a popular attraction you “must” do at least once. It gives you an overview of many noteworthy sights.

It is located next to the River Thames and gives you a good view of, amongst others, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

10. Football

Wembley Stadium, Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United — football fans have a lot to enjoy in London!

11. Be the leader when taking the underground

Guiding everybody through the London underground is a cool thing to grasp. The teenager has to be fully focused. This is excellent preparation for later travels without adults in a safe environment.

12. Rent a boat in Hyde Park

Hire a boat at the Serpentine and see the charming Hyde Park from a different side.

These are the teenagers’ thoughts on what they like to do in London, compiled into an article by me. I hope you will find it helpful.

Love, Elin ❤
