100 Days of Exciting Writing Journey: A Fairy Tale

100 Days of the writing journey has been a surprise gift for me. It feels like I am unwrapping the glittery packaging to know what’s inside it every day.
I am thrilled, excited, and curious to uncover the gift of writing.
Now the chirping of the birds is sweeter, the silvery moon seems shinier, the murmuring sound of the river is more calming, the effort of bringing a smile to others is more joyous, and the life lessons are more precious to me.
It seems I am looking at life with a new beautiful lens, so I see beauty in everything.
I wonder these beauties were around me even before I started my writing journey — but I did not feel like this ever!
Why?
Probably, I am more observant now. I slow down a bit in my hectic daily life, and all these beauties catch my eye and make my heart smile and dance.
I intentionally slowed down the process to seek inspiration from nature, life, and every possible source.
As I seek positivity, inspiration, and hope to gather elements of my writing, I see those and connect with them.
If you seek God, you will find Him.
So, how come finding peace and positivity won’t be possible? It’s just a matter of our mindsets, attitudes, and gratitude.
I learned to filter out the negative shade through my writing journey.
I strongly feel everyone must start to write, be it a diary or personal journal or whatever form one feels comfortable.
It unpacks the hidden beauty of lives, releases our anxieties and negative thoughts, and acts as a super balm for any headache of life, a trusted friend of a lonely soul, a mentor for directionless, and food for a creative hunger and whatnot. Moreover, I believe everyone has a story to tell that may light up someone’s day or inspire others in many ways.
I have learned to live in the moment, and I consider this one of the surprise gifts of writing. As I live in the moment, I have started to enjoy the process/ journey rather than waiting for the outcomes or reaching any destination.
If you can enjoy the process, everything will fall into its place, and you will have that fire to spark your passion. That’s the key to happiness. For example, when I participate in any writing competition, I try to enjoy the process, learn from the experience, and utilize the takeaways for my growth rather than remain anxious thinking about the results.
The Cord That Matters
I realize how we lead our lives is crucial to shaping our writing journey.
Our words reflect our thoughts, our spirits shines through our stories, and our sparks dazzle the fables.
For example, if we want to spread positivity through our writing, we must learn to live an inspiring way. If we plan to produce an authentic piece, we must learn to be honest first. If we want to craft a story on our vulnerabilities, at first, we have to face our insecurities openly.
Our creation is part of ourselves, be it writing, singing, painting, or others. One portion of me resides in my stories through weaving my feelings, thoughts, life lessons, experiences and knowledge sharing, etc., in the craft. These are all part of me.
So if I want to produce a good story, I have to work on myself first. It is one of the great lessons I learned in my 100 days of writing.
If the core element is not good, what’s the use of beautiful packaging?
The Beauty of Reflections
I feel like some invisible hand is forcing me to sit back and reflect at times to find out the elements of my writing. I realize we must sit and reflect on our journey to take away learning from the steps we left behind.
Together We Rise
The warmth and love from my fellow writers make me a writer today. If they did not read, engage with my stories and encourage my words, I would have lost my passion. After leaving my corporate job of eight years, I landed in a beautiful place, Medium, where everyone uplifts one another. I started to believe that together we rise; it does not happen only in the fairy tales.
Authenticity is the Key to Creating Connections
Authenticity is the key to writing any story. If I can feel a story is real, it’s like the author behind that story is frankly talking with me. That connection is a surreal feeling!
I try to craft my story in such a way so that my reader can get the vibe of real me, my thoughts, feelings, and experience.
It’s not about linguistic beauty, any magical format, or anything — it’s about my honesty and authenticity. That’s what I realized through my 100 days of writing.
I know 100 days is nothing as this is a lifelong journey. However, living as a writer for the last 100 days is something special to me, and I wanted to share my little experience of writing with you.
If you are a writer, I wish you a meaningful writing journey.
If you are not, what holds you back?
