10 iPhone Apps — Jan 2022

Happy 2022! This new year is going to be phenomenal. The technological changes will be incredible. The one thing I can’t stop thinking about is the introduction of 3nm chips that will bring immense power to our computers.

Without any further reading, let’s dive into the list of apps.

1. (Not Boring) Habits — Andy Works LLC

Screenshots of Habits app on iOS

Sticking to habits is essential to make changes in life. If you want to achieve greatness, repetition is the key to bringing change in your life. Habits is not your typical habit reminder app. It has a unique, distinctive feel to it. The subtle changes in UI with fantastic animations and pleasing sounds make Habits different from any other app.

I have used Habits to keep track of four habits in my life: meditation, education, work, and ToDo tasks. Whenever I tap and hold on to the action button to log my habit, I get a gamified experience to keep doing what I want to do. The app makes me feel great about myself, being productive every day.

2. Social Stats Widget — Innovative Digital Technologies

Screenshots of Social Stats Widget app on iOS

Social Stat Widget asks for your social media handle and provides widgets that show your current followers on your home screen. The widgets update almost every 15 minutes (tested on my iPad and iPhone) and offer a clean user interface without clutter.

No matter what many people say, checking the number of followers from our social media account makes us feel good. Even though it is not practical nor healthy, it feels motivating, especially for an individual growing a business. I suggest using this app if you use any services the app supports.

3. Deepstash — Brainstash Inc

Screenshots of Deepstash app on iOS

Deepstash helps you save time by providing a shorter, more insightful version of books, articles, podcasts, videos, and more in a minimal user interface. You can add an article to your collection. If you want to save time and learn valuable information (as quickly as possible,) give Deepstash a try.

My experience as a reader was great; it provides valuable information in a neat interface, yet as a designer, I feel the app could improve in the user experience department. I say this since the app’s usability might be an issue for people who use accessibility features.

4. Coin Stats — Inomma LLC

Coin Stats is a financial app that helps you keep track of prices for your crypto assets. Create your own wallet and track your portfolio. It is an all-in-one app with features like notifying you when a particular coin changes its price or when there is breaking news.

I’ve used many wallet apps for my crypto assets, and many provide a focused experience with limited functions while others offer plenty of functionalities in a cluttered experience. Coin Stats feeds two birds with one scone. The app is usable with a beautiful design while satisfying the need of people who own crypto assets.

Concertino is a shortcut to Apple Music for those who adore classical music providing a curated list of great composers throughout history. You can browse for music from different periods or listen to a radio of your favorite composer.

I’m a massive fan of George Frideric Handel. I love many composers, but Handel, in particular, is my favorite, and concertino is phenomenal in assisting me in finding his best works. The user interface of this app is clean and straightforward.

Widget Center provides a collection of colorful widgets to brighten the looks of your home screen. Not only does it offer widgets for keeping track of time, battery percentage, and calendar, but it also offers extensive customizability to alter each widget to your liking.

I often find the default iOS widgets too computerized. They negatively affect how I use my iPhone. That is not the case anymore, as the widgets from this app vibe positively and joyfully. They bring some life into my home screen, and I admire positivity since it is scarce.
