11 Favorites and Facts About Me: A Writing Prompt For Your Dog, Cat, or Pet!
Couldn’t get over a bout of writer’s block today, so I turned to a backup idea I’ve had for some time now:
Here’s a fun, light hearted writing prompt to learn more about our pets! Your pet’s natural dialect, accents, or attempts at spelling the words in the way they best would is encouraged, but not at all necessary. Please also indulge us with some facts about your pet below all of the questions in your own post if you’d like, I’d love to learn more about your beloved animals!! :)
- What is your name, your age, and what are your breeds? My name is Bindi and I’m about a year old now! My paw-rents call me Bindi Girl! I am an American Foxhound, Black Lab, and Great Pyranees mutt! Even though I have a hound’s snout, you can tell I am a black lab, right?! Aren’t I pretty?
2. What is your favorite food? I luff my kitty cat’s treats! I luff when my mama has me and the cat practice sitting close to each other and rewards us with those delicious, smelly kitty cat treats! I luff the kitty cat, but he doesn’t really luff me yet. We’re getting there! I also luff Stinky Jacks, which are the Lil Jacks treats in the purple bag that my paw-rents have affectionately renamed since they smell terrible, which is fine with me!! My favorite hooman food is whipped cream!!
3. Who is your favorite human? I luff my mama and daddy the most, but I also luff everyone! My paw-rents want to eventually train me to be a therapy dog, I think I’d luff it! I am super sweet, gentle, and caring with all hoomans. Hoomans with hard hats on scare me, but my paw-rents keep telling me it’s okay when I bark at them!
4. Where is your favorite place to nap? I luff my chaise lounge on the couch, my paw-rents tell me it’s “my seat”! I’m a special girl. I luff to nap on my back with my legs stretched out, it’s comfy!
5. Where is your favorite place to play? My paw-rents live near a dog park, so we get to go there right when my mama wakes up, and when daddy is done with work! I get to see friends every day, I am a lucky girl!
6. Who is your animal best friend? Aw you can’t ask me this, I luff all the puppers! But IF you’re making me choose, I really luff two dogs a lot: Roxy and Dax. Roxy is my best girl pupper friend, we luff to play chase together! She lives around the corner from me! Dax is my best boy pupper friend, my paw-rents and his paw-rents are friends so we get to have playdates a lot! They say we’re boyfriend and girlfriend, but I don’t know what that means??
7. What is your favorite trick? My paw-rents luff giving me new tricks to do, because I luff doing them! I luff doing “SHAKE” with my paw, sometimes I get that confused with other tricks because I luff it so much! I also luff doing “BOOP”, which is me tapping my mama or daddy’s nose with my snout!
8. What games do you love to play? Since I’m a hound, my paw-rents taught me “HUNT”! It’s really fun! I “STAY” while they hide something for me to sniff and find! They’ll have me sniff a little bit of it and say, “OKAY BINDI, GO HUNT” and I find the real prize! Sometimes it’s peanut butter, or whipped cream, or one of my antlers!
9. Where is your favorite place to walk? I luff when we get to go to the woods, it’s more fun than the city sidewalks! I like the sidewalks though because lots of hoomans and dogs walk on them! My paw-rents gave me a sign for my leash that says “PLEASE PET ME”, so people who luff dogs don’t feel afraid to ask to pet me!
10. Do you love to swim? I haven’t tried yet, but I think I would luff to! I luff when we go on trails that have ponds or streams nearby, I get to stand in them and splash at the water!
11. What is your favorite guilty pleasure that your humans might not approve of? I really luff trying to eat the kitty cat poop, my paw-rents think this is gross though and I don’t know why!
