This is a response to the prompts in this story by Linda Ng, though I actually first came across them in a follow-up piece by The Sturg, below:

  1. What is your favorite drink? I love fruit juice but my number one drink has to be coffee! I even chose the image for this story in its honor!
  2. What is your favorite color? One of my kids used to say that their favorite color was ‘multi-colored’, and I always appreciated that flexibility. I do really appreciate green spaces, though.
  3. If you won the lottery, what are the top 3 things you’d do first? Assuming this is a big win? 1) Help struggling friends; 2) Focus on my writing career; 3) Do some good via charity giving/campaigning.
  4. What is your favorite cuisine? Overall, south Asian cuisine. I love a curry! But I enjoy all spicy food, and things like Italian and Greek food, too.
  5. Would you give up your phone or social media forever? I’m old enough to have lived without these until my 20s, so for sure, I could go without them now. I barely use social media these days, anyway.
  6. What is one thing that you’re really good at? As an educator, I’ve written a couple of textbooks that probably combine my ability to write with my ability to teach. Maybe that’s the sweet spot.
  7. Do you love cats or dogs more? It’s funny, I would probably have said ‘cats’ as a kid, but now I’m besotted with our dog (you can see her on my ‘about’ story). So, it’s dogs!
  8. Are you a coffee drinker? Wait a minute, didn’t I answer this for #1? Or doesn’t coffee count as a drink? Lol… I drink about six or seven strong coffees a day, and still find time for a cup of tea sometimes.
  9. What languages can you speak? I love to study languages, but I’m not fluent in any besides English. I can order food or have a very basic conversation in Czech, and my German is semi-decent, though it needs practice. I know a few phrases of Gaelic and British Sign Language, and have dabbled in a handful of others.
  10. Can you use chopsticks? I’m actually pretty good with chopsticks. I’d use them without hesitation!

Thanks Linda Ng and The Sturg for this challenge!!

Maybe C.A. Jaymes, FJCMontenegro, Cathylouise, or Sieran Lane will go next…?
