TRAVELLING WITH ADRIENNE
You’re Doing What?
I’m catching a Bolt
Not that sort of bolt! A Bolt rideshare app.
I first found out about Bolt in Bratislava in 2019. My airbnb host told me about it and I’ve used it ever since. When it’s too far to walk, especially with luggage, I’ll catch a Bolt.
The company was started in Tallinn, Estonia and has spread from Eastern Europe to Western Europe. Bolt is similar to Uber except cheaper. And much cheaper than taxis. You know upfront how much the ride will cost you and the app is linked directly to your credit card. No worries about carrying cash or being ripped off by taxi drivers.
The strange thing in Poland is the Bolt drivers also operate as taxis which I’m sure they prefer so I always include a tip to make it worth their while to drive for Bolt.
