You’re All Puppets
Corruption? In the government?

Ever wonder how a career politician who makes a $200,000 salary is worth almost half a billion dollars?
Insider trading.
Your leaders are so blatantly corrupt it’s unbelievable.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of congress are either the luckiest people on the planet, who know exactly when to buy or sell their assets, or they’re crooks. Crooks that we elected, by the way.
The best tip I ever got as a journalist working in New Jersey was to follow the money. So let’s do that and find out how deep this goes.
Nancy Pelosi: America’s Greatest Living Criminal
Last month when asked about a proposed ban on members and their spouses holding and trading stocks while in office, Nancy Pelosi had this to say:
“This is a free market, and people — we are a free market economy,” Pelosi said during a weekly press conference. “They should be able to participate in that.”
Ok. Fine.
The problem here is that when you’re passing meaningful legislation that affects America’s top businesses, you aren’t just trading confidential information, you’re creating the rules of the game.
How is that fair in any way, shape or form?

Nancy is guilty of —
- Blocking bills that would’ve hurt Visa’s stock price after her husband loaded up on them before the IPO.
- In March 2021 her husband exercised $2 million in Microsoft options before the company landed a huge contract with the US army to provide high-tech headsets.
- And just before Biden announced his incentives on electric vehicles the Pelosi’s picked up $1 million in Tesla stock.
Politicians award themselves payment equal to their own perceived value.
There are no morals in politics. For many politicians, like Nancy Pelosi, it’s just about the money.
Politicians Are Enemies of the People
In the months leading up to the first wave of COVID-19 lockdowns, lawmakers from both parties unloaded millions of dollars in stocks as they received closed-door briefings about the coronavirus.
To make matters worse, an investigation by Insider found that at least 49 members of Congress and 182 staff members were late in filing their stock trade reports in the past two years.
What the fuck?
Both Democrats and Republicans were responsible.
Although I like to give her a lot of shit, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Elizabeth Warren are some of the few politicians standing against this.
Warren recently said: “Every senator, member of Congress, president, Cabinet secretary, federal judge, and other senior officials in charge of writing the rules for our financial system should not be able to own or trade individual stocks.”
Why Should You Care?
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Everyone smart does insider trading.
Does this make it morally, ethically, and humanely correct? No.
Most of the trust in politicians has been misplaced because modernity has become too complex then human brains can keep up. We’re constantly overloaded with information.
Tech addictions don’t help either.
We elect representatives so that each individual person can go about their day-to-day life without having to constantly focus on politics or geopolitical issues. These people are supposed to be working for you!
Hold them accountable. Don’t succumb to mass psychosis. Wake up.
