Your Sunday Morning Reminders To Get You Through This Week

Remember to strive for progress, not perfection!

Today, I woke up feeling less positive than I usually do in the morning; especially for a Sunday morning — I love waking up a little later than in the week, enjoying a coffee in bed whilst listening to the radio… but my routine was out of sync.

I woke up a little groggy, thanks to a poor night's sleep, but after receiving a positive message from a friend changed my mindset immediately.

“Good Morning Sam. Remember to strive for progress, not perfection”

She was right, I didn’t need for today to be perfect…just progressive. It then didn’t matter that my routine wasn’t the same as always. I reminded myself that it’s OK to be a little flexible every now and then.

Hearing a positive thought this morning was inspiring and so, here are some reminders for YOU.

Here’s how you can start your day and week right…

1. Resting is productive.

Sunday is generally observed as a day of rest; set no expectations and just relax. Don’t feel guilty when resting, your body and brain need it. Embrace the rest!

2. Don’t believe everything you think about yourself.

Our mind is constantly processing thoughts and we can’t always control the negative ones. But what we can do is know that our thoughts are not all true, so let them go and feel empowered.

3. You can handle anything that this week brings!

Whatever is thrown at you this week, just remember that you can handle it. This is your reminder to stay positive and tell yourself you CAN do it.

4. Let someone know you’re grateful for them.

Gratitude can have a lasting positive impact on your day. If there’s someone that comes to mind right now, tell them. Go make their day.
