Your Poetry, My Lifeline

You have stared at words, haven’t you? I see your eyes traced the lines of ink as if they were lifelines, Each punctuation a breath drawn in or released.
We are all like this, aren’t we? Finding ourselves tangled between stanzas and verses, Lost within metaphors and similes spun with gossamer threads. The poet’s dance is not for everyone but it calls to us — To those who seek solace in syllables.
“What is ‘express appreciation’?” You question. It transcends mere applause or understanding nods. It’s a resonance deep within our essence, a connection that whispers: I hear you — I feel what you’ve felt.
When a poem bares its heart, inscribing its soul on paper skin, it extends an invitation. Each word a lure that demands not just recognition of its cleverness but a proclamation: I am here too, in these shared spaces where words fail us. Here, where meaning unfolds itself like origami birds in the expanse of memory’s firmament.
So when asked, “how do you appreciate poetry?” Tell them how blood sings beneath your veins reading their rhythm — you’ve tasted saltwater tears hidden behind commas — and found echoes of laughter ringing loud beyond full stops;
Tell them — no hold back nothing — tell them everything! Show up raw open vulnerable because expressing appreciation means being seen seeing others
Isn’t that the essence of poetry? To read, to write, to share, to explore, and ultimately, to delve into the power of the written word.
