I woke up this morning after confidently telling me wife the night before, “I’m sure I’ll reach that daily $20 earning mark by tomorrow!”

After all, I had put in the work.

Over a period between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM yesterday, I had read about 65 articles of my medium writers and left slightly more than 65 comments in all!

Those efforts coupled with writing and publishing 3 articles (the most I ever had written before), morning, afternoon and evening.

I was so confident my returns would show my hard work… until I woke up slightly after 7:00 AM this morning and checked my phone… then did some quick math.

$3.18.

That was what I had made for yesterday’s efforts.

My 3 new articles published yesterday?

The expectations of earnings around $4–$7 each? Not to be found… in fact — they each were no one NEAR my previous earnings.

As I began working on my morning cup of joe, I had to try to find out the reason for this low amount.

I checked my phone’s application updates list (I don’t have my apps set to automatic update; I do each app manually).

Nope. No Medium app update sitting in the cue. Hmm.

Again, I dismissed the lower earnings, rationalizing it’s possible that most of my readers’ engagements were received the second half of the day — leading the earnings to be added to tomorrow’s totals.

However, just having finished Adrian’s post… reading through so many similar responses and experiences of you all — I’m not panicking. Are you panicking? Should we all be PANICKING??

Let’s wait and see what’s up. I do hope it’s just a blip. Just like those random weekend days where the earnings always seemed delayed and pushed to Monday. I hope and pray in the next day or two, everything will straighten out.
