Your Medium Comfort Zone Is Asking You To Write Today
Get back to where you have a lot of fun
Do you remember that old song that goes, “Get back to where you once belonged"?
I know that one.
In fact, I sing that song every once in a while, especially when I get off track and I start to lose the fun and joy of writing.
“Get back."
“Get back.”
The words are important.
For writers, it can be easy to lose the thrill of writing, the creative aspect of it all, the pure fun of making something out of nothing.
I call this the Medium Comfort Zone. To me, it is a state of mind where you don’t think about anything except finding where you best fit with Medium and how you can be relaxed with your time.
What is your Medium Comfort Zone? To answer that question, you may need to stop for a moment and ponder a few items.
Remind yourself to:
- Write when you feel like it
- Have a good time doing it
- And be proud of your creative work
Other writers find success in their own ways. Good for them and blessings too.
Some days I start to think too much and I keep trying to get myself to:
- Write longer stories
- Make things topical
- Use awesome headlines
- Make it evergreen
- Utilize keywords
- Don’t forget SEO
- Check your spelling
- Watch that grammar too
Eventually, I just clear my head of all this stuff and I say, “I’m going to have some fun."
Of course, it is important to take things seriously every once in a while. It does matter to try and be successful, to stay professional and to strive for success.
For many writers, Medium is a rare opportunity in life to do what you love, and to write on a wonderful platform that reaches all over the planet. It’s a good reminder to work hard on your content and to communicate your idea effectively.
But today, my Medium Comfort Zone is calling me to sit on the couch in front of the fireplace and do some writing. Who knows where it will go? Not me, my friend.
After all, life is short. Take a break a few times a week and do whatever you feel like doing, especially if it brings a smile to your face. There it is, long time no see.
