Your Daily Bag of Drivel — Commented

This is what you missed today — part IV

I’m typing this text with my eyes closed. The question you should ask yourself as a reader is, “am I going to edit it before publishing?” The answer is yes. Now that you’re relieved, you can keep on reading and wonder where I’ll take you.

Of course, my first choice would be Costa Rica because I read a tweet about it this morning, but we cannot do that with the current technology. We’ll have to wait for web 5.2.

In the meantime, close your eyes and keep on reading the article in your head. Thanks to my latest technology, not yet trademarked, I’ll take you by the hand and walk with you towards the destination of your choice. All you have to do is say it out loud. Did I hear freezer? That’s good for me. I know I left some carrots there and feel like having a healthy snack for once.

It will boost my serotonin levels, and I’ll have energy for my daily run later. What about you? What are you going to do with the carrots you’ll find there? Or did you expect something else? Maybe a door to the wonderful world of sunny land where there aren’t any problems and the grass is always green? Let’s settle for the carrots. They’re good enough for our current purpose.

Short break to remind you to keep your eyes closed.

I’m switching topics here, but closing my eyes again reminded me of my daily meditation practice in my building’s staircase earlier. Which in turn reminds me I have to write a postcard to a new online friend I met on Twitter.

Can you believe it? We decided to become pen pals.

There’s this strange idea that the connection is more real if we exchange postcards or letters instead of sending electronic messages to each other. I’m not sure how to start this epistolary exchange. Shall I talk about the weather or go all in and mention the darkest corners of my mind? The risk with the latter option is that they will reply in kind.

It might be too much for me.

But maybe it will be cathartic enough for me to start appreciating the carrots I have instead of dreaming of the papayas I could find on a beach in Costa Rica?

We’ll see.

Till next time, friendly reader.

I liked this story yesterday.
