Your Best Written Material Could be Created During the Toughest Life Moments
I used to think that I only wrote the good stuff when I was in a positive frame of mind
Napoleon Hill is one of my favourite authors and motivational speakers of all time.
His work is a classic, way back in the 1920s that still applies today.
One thing he mentions time and time again is a positive mental attitude.
Sure we need to be positive as much as possible, and that’s one of the best ways to encourage success and become popular with others.
But I have grown and developed as a writer, writing far too many wrong and some good articles.
I write most of my articles in a positive frame of mind.
So it would range about the 95% ratio of positivity.
I like to spread love, tips and tricks about health, beautiful recipes and weight training tips.
But something Napoleon probably didn’t even grasp back in those days is that you can still write your best blog posts or books during very deep and dark times.
Audiences build virtual rapport with you during troubling times, especially how you overcame them.
In this day and age, everyone is going through some adversity, obstacle or fork in the road.
Reading about a person wins and income may be a little disheartening because you’re not at that stage yet.
Hearing people make $5–10K is phenomenal.
But, gosh, I want to make that much. What it would do to my life is extraordinary.
What it would do to all of our lives is give us something we all want so badly — FREEDOM.
I believe we are all chasing some dream that will get us towards the F word at some stage.
Success and wins are great — but let’s get real.
We appreciate hearing about other people’s pain and struggle during our journey because it brings us a lot closer to home.
That familiarity we are all suffering, in our peculiar way.
Now, don’t get me wrong.
This isn’t being negative or feeling superior because of someone else’s struggle — it’s keeping the journey real for the rest of us.
Honestly, no one makes it to the top without crawling there initially.
It’s a lot of hard work experimentation and filled with more losses than wins.
I read a lot of stuff on here that isn’t very pleasant — handing out advice that won’t necessarily work for everyone.
There is a chance of giving others a biased impression — based on one experience.
Things change as they always do, and we’re not going to know the answers immediately.
But it will have a different face to you, as opposed to another.
Don’t be afraid to show the world your pitfalls, struggles and despair.
God knows we all have those days.
You never know just how successful your work might be taken — even distributed.
So, don’t be one of those negative nancy or positive peters — just be you!
The flaws and all, wrinkles, cuts and bruises.
Share in life’s ups and downs — and go sideways for a change.
No one want’s to hear about a ken and barbie lifestyle — because that’s just fake news anyway.
What struggle or adversity have you shared that helped others?
