Your Best Self: The Man Who Has Preached Hustle and Grind is Now Talking Balance and Happiness.

There are many lessons in this pandemic.

Some are very, very hard.

Some have a silver lining.

One of the silver lining maybe slowing down our pace, and “smelling the roses” as they say.

Taking time to care for self, spend time with family, and do some things that maybe we have not done in a long time.

The busyness of our modern world seems to have escalated over time.

The glorifying of the grind. The accessibility to information and the removal of the 8 hour workday to a 12 -14 hour workday has come at the expense of our collective mental and physical health.

One of the preachers of the side hustle and outwork the other guy is Gary Vaynerchuk. If you are not aware, he is a successful businessman from humble beginnings who know over sees multiple companies. He has a tremendous following online, and one of his main messages is to get out there and hustle. Work until you achieve what you want.

Currently, he is re-evaluating that position. Over the last little while has come to the conclusion that taking care of himself, with a little more balance in his life, might be a good thing in the long run.

That is something worth stopping to think about.

Here is an interesting read on his change of position, and a keynote speech around happiness and opportunity.

KeyNote by Gary Vaynerchuk.
