Your Beautiful Thank You

How to have gratitude for everything

“I want to thank you for the profound joy I’ve had in the in the thought of you.” ― Rosie Alison, The Very Thought of You

Extending a thank you to yourself is also loving. Deep within your heart lies an immense treasure trove of magic. Nobody else can create as you do.

I never thought combining a garden, baking, teatime, and life lessons would create peace for many in my writing. Yet, it is where my creativity lives.

Purple blooms on our rosemary plant in November in the back garden.

When I create something in the kitchen or witness beauty in nature, joy begins to well up within me. The other day, while driving home, I could not stop smiling as I thought of new baked treats.

Allow yourself to trust your inner knowing as you go about your day. Feel gratitude for each breath you take and every effort you put into the world. Invisible, effervescent sparkles emanate from your being each time you share your true heart.

You are the answer to many prayers. Know that your presence is a beautiful gift.

Often, my mind tells me I am not doing enough, being enough, or saying enough. However, nothing could be further from the truth. When I speak to my heart, she tells me to enjoy the gradual unfolding of each day, to sit in a chair and sink into its comfort.

Our brains can be a taskmaster, but our souls remind us to rest and love ourselves.

So many of you I have never met, but I thank you for being here. Every time we connect through our writing, it warms my heart. Be gentle with yourself in the coming days. There can be a lot of pressure to be more in this season. I urge you to be yourself.

I am grateful today for a warm home, a son waiting for his friend to come over, a pie shell I just made, ready for filling, and flour covering the kitchen counters. Thank you all for being on this journey with me.

Today, I invite you to thank yourself for all you do. You create, spread joy, help others, and light up the world. You are worth celebrating! Give yourself a hug for being here today.

A Loving Note From Trista Signe Ainsworth:

A cozy cup of tea at Granny Fi’s in Aurora, Oregon.

Dear Lovely Readers & Writers,

I greet you during this busy season with a loving heart! I loved every moment of catching up on your loving stories this week. It took me a while to get back to you as I am planning a holiday bake sale and preparing to celebrate the holidays early this year.

On the eve of Thanksgiving, I want to extend a thank you to each of you. Every time I receive a comment on my story or read your work, it lights up my heart.

We are relaxing at home tomorrow with just the three of us- my husband, son, and I. Since I will work during the busy three-day holiday weekend at the tea house, we wanted a quiet day at home.

This is a reminder to everyone that it is okay to spend the holidays how you wish to spend them. Having a small gathering is not the wrong thing to do if it protects your energy and fills your heart with gratitude.

I have realized through the years that although part of me loves hosting others and planning parties, it takes a lot out of me. I often need more time to recover than I imagine.

For this reason, we had a lovely time with family this past Sunday at a restaurant, and I went out to afternoon tea with my parents a few days before. Gatherings do not have to look or be a certain way. They can be whatever works best for you.

As you count your blessings and gather with whomever you choose this holiday season, I send you so much love.

With great love and light,

Trista

P.S. I am going to start a new decluttering journey in my home and share it with you all here. I love to watch cleaning and decluttering videos on YouTube and realized a fresh start in our home, even in a busy season would feel wonderful.

I am tagging writers who requested I tag them whenever I publish a piece. If you wish to be tagged, please let me know in the comments. Thank you so much!
