You'll never please all the people all the time. AI is here to stay whether we like it or not. It's "trodden on my turf" somewhat in that I used to do typing from home pre-pandemic to boost my budget - now there is a lot of voice recognition thanks to AI so 'typing' can be proofreading now. The lady could have phrased things more pleasantly - like she could have said that she personally was not a fan of AI art and left it at that though it sounds like she cyber-stalked you to some extent. My late mother good at art and crafts in a hobby way* but in later life got very bad rheumatoid arthritis and her hands were so painful she was limited as to what she could do. If AI had been around then perhaps she could have learned how to use prompts and used AI as a creative outlet. I've had mixed results with AI (mostly using it as a shortcut not as an artistic medium) myself.
*My mother was a primary school teacher so she used her art and crafts in that.
