You Told Me To Forget You Exist

A Poem

You told me to forget you exist Like our love meant nothing Like it won’t persist

It cut me like a dagger But my wound healed up instantly That’s the gift you gave me I can never be damaged I can never be made weak

I will never forget you exist Because I will always remember

I will always remember The things you never did for them That you only did for me

I will always remember How you almost sacrificed everything For just a chance to be with me

I will always love you But not in that way

You were and are my friend You are here to stay

So after this little tantrum You’ll see me Wave And remember that we can never forget Because it was our love that saved Us
