You Step Back Into The Chalice

Sinking back into the blood

In a manner of defiance to the world, you crawl back into the golden chalice.

For a minute nothing quite seems to happen, until you witness your body slowly melting into the pool of blood.

In a flash, your complete apathy toward the life you’ve been given turns into a desperate struggle for survival.

You claw against the inside of the chalice, attempting to break free, but half of your torso begins to submerge until you are at neck height.

No time is further held for you as you draw one last breath and fall completely into the bloody abyss, until your soul is cast out back into the black void.

There is no recourse or do over following this path, as you have effectively destroyed the only life you had been given. Seeing as how you are but another soul in the void now, you exist without the capacity to regret or even feel fear as you had before.

Now all you can see, hear, and smell, is darkness, and all you feel is eternal peace and solidarity, forever discarded into the realm of mystery.

Any potential you had is gone forever, and since no one has seen you, no one shall remember you, either.

You are but a shadow of the world from which you were born.

A memory isolated.

Forever.
