You Shouldn’t Worry If your Medium Account Gets Canceled.

Let me tell you why.

On January 17, 2023, I started here on Medium, and I’ve used this account as my main one. I decided to create a secondary account just as an option and only wrote one article in July. Then, in December, my account was canceled.

I didn’t understand why, as I didn’t use it enough and never did anything against the company’s policies. They didn’t write to me or explain the reasons, and I didn’t contact them either.

But I’ve been reading many articles where, as usual, a spiral of fear is spreading. Your account could be in danger at any moment.

But you should know this: the account disappears from the eyes of all other Medium users, but the articles remain available, as well as the drafts you had up to that point.

I repeat, your articles don’t disappear for you, but they do for the rest of the users.

My recommendation, if this ever happens to you, is to simply go to your articles on the canceled account, go to draft mode, copy your article, and retrieve it for your new account, as long as you don’t get your account back.

It’s important not to be afraid, especially if you haven’t done anything wrong.

If this ever happens to you, it’s an effective solution.

And more importantly, if you decide to write about this (it will become a hot topic), provide solutions and don’t contribute to spreading more fear about our accounts being in danger.

Remember, we are part of a whole, and always act in good faith, providing solutions and not living in fear.

Life is too beautiful for you to be worried.
