You Really Need to Chill About She-Hulk’s Ass
Has Martin Scorsese finally been proved right?
Yesterday I was minding my own business, busy tweeting instead of writing, when I suddenly came across a series of angry tweets regarding none other than She-Hulk.
Apparently, there had been a disturbance in the force (am I doing this right?), an earth-shattering event that completely changed the face of the MCU for all of eternity.
And, what, oh, what happened that ruffled so many nerdy feathers? Well, my friends, it turns out that She-Hulk twerked.
But that’s not all! Oh, no! To make things worse, she twerked with none other than Megan Thee Stallion. So, just in case you haven’t watched, here it is, in all of its glory:
The Outrage
Once that clip made it to the outer world, enraged MCU fans expressed their dissatisfaction. Some claimed that Martin Scorsese had finally been proved right. Others implied this fun dance move was disrespectful to the memory of Tony Stark. The term “feminist disaster” has even been uttered a few times.
In summary, people had opinions:
For a moment there, it seemed like lots of feelings were hurt. It is likely that a few years from now, we will think of the MCU in terms of B.T. and A.T.
Yes, lots of people are acting as though their lives have been ruined forever. How dare a foolish TV show destroy their vision of what a comic book character should be?
*cue the violins*
Of course, there were others who saw this move precisely for what it is: just a stupidly fun moment in a TV show that’s supposed to be a comedy. It truly would have made Stan Lee proud; you know, the man who made tons of silly cameos all over the MCU films.
And others showed their wisdom and decided to focus on the things that matter, such as:
The 2022 Twerkdom
Are we going to be okay? Will our generation survive the 2022 Twerkdom? Or does this event signal the beginning of the end?
Now, call me crazy, but what if we all remembered this is just a scene in a TV show and laughed about it? Heck, maybe we could even watch it on repeat until we are able to copy the moves. I know I need some practice…
And those of you who are worried about the future of the MCU legacy, please, just chill. Trust me, if there’s room for talking raccoons, thunder-wielding gods, metal flying men, and mind-bending witches, I know we can make room for some sweet green ass.
