You Open Worlds
A POM prompt poem

There you lie A surface covered in lumps one-sided, Smooth to the touch one-sided. Big enough to fit In my hand Too big, perhaps, for a child’s.
Despite appearances You open worlds Magical lands of hope, love, laughter Horrific places of war, hate, despair. Loud or soft You enable Smooth Crooning Raw shouting.
Bright or dim You let the light in. Lost, at times, Down dark spaces. Sometimes, angry faces, Look at you. There you lie. Dormant.
Remote.

This is written in response to POMprompt #3 Inanimate Object.
