You Know What To Do, So Why Aren’t You Doing It?
Asking The Hard Questions
The Overweight Example
We see people who want to lose weight, but instead, they continue eating the “donuts,” going out to eat and eating more than they are burning off (this excludes bodybuilders).
The Dream Example
We see people who desire to work on their dreams (outside of their full-time job), yet each day, they wake up only with enough time to get to work by the bell and always feel too tired to work on their goals after work. They never implement enough discipline to wake up earlier and push through their lack of energy to work on their dreams.
The Relationship Example
We see people who end their relationships without putting in the extra effort to try.
OR
We see people who continue to be in relationships with people who are no good to them. With 7 billion people on the planet, there has to be at least one person out there who aligns with who we are. A person that will not bring harm to our lives but blessings.
The Health Example
We see people who lack energy, are always in pain, have poor health, etc. Yet, these same people will maintain poor diets and never work out. It might be hypocritical to complain about health issues when you aren’t putting in actual effort to improve your overall health.
The Result Example
We see people who continue to get the same results because they want to make it happen their way. They know a better way is out there, but their stubbornness keeps them in the same place time and time again.
The Money Example
We see people who complain about always being broke, but they continually live above their means and spend their money on non-essential items or live in expensive places they truly can’t afford. Furthermore, if they aren’t spending their money on non-essential things, they aren’t taking enough action to improve their overall financial situation by increasing their income and saving/investing.
You Know What To Do, So Why Aren’t You Doing It?
We have all been one of these examples in one way or another. But the question for you today is, are you currently still up to this insane pattern of behavior? If so, you are addicted to poor results, or you don’t want to change.
If we all claim we want a change but aren’t putting in the effort to make the change, we are straight-up lying to ourselves. If you genuinely desire something, you will go after it.
- If you want to lose weight, you will lose weight.
- If you want your dreams to be a reality, you will consistently put in the effort on that dream — even when you don’t feel like it.
- If you need to leave a relationship or improve the relationship, you will get creative and find a way to make it happen. (For those in abusive relationships, this can be tricky, which is why you need to recruit others to help you — even if you are scared. In the end, fear itself is its own prison; find a way out; you deserve this. In the future, increase your self-awareness and overall health (mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual), so you choose healthier partners and notice the warning signs. Unhealthy people always reek; you merely have to be healthy enough to notice others' unhealthy behaviors and have boundaries, gumption, and self-worth to reject them.)
- If you want to be healthier, you will be healthier.
- If you desire a different result, you will go after that result with 100% energy.
- If you want to be more financially sound, you will make better money decisions.
We all have more power and control over our lives than we give ourselves credit. If you aren’t where you want to be, there is one reason: you.
