You Have The Right Not To Have An Opinion.

Why do we feel embarrassed when in a discussion, we don’t know which opinion to join? We Can’t Know About Everything, Right?

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one.

Dirty Harry

Whether it’s politics, the latest fashions, television programs, or any kind of pandemic — we’re always expected to have an opinion.

If we let it be understood that we have not dealt with a topic enough to have a well-founded opinion on it, we are often looked at funnily. But even if this is not the case, we are afraid that it could be so.

We believe that people whisper behind our backs and think we are stupid or uninformed. We want to avoid that at all costs, so we join the first opinion that seems halfway plausible to us.

Why are we doing this? And how can we change it?

If you want to know, read my article I don’t care — you don’t have to have an opinion about everything.
