MORNING DEVOTIONS
You Have Bedded Me Down in Lush Meadows — Psalm 23:2 MSG
The other day a young elk spent the day sleeping amidst the rose bushes in the Memorial Rose Garden at our 55+ community.
Many residents spotted the baby elk and were concerned that the mother had abandoned it.
No, no, others reassured them, she will come back. She knows it is safe until she returns. And sure enough, later that day, momma elk returned and reunited with her baby. Relief was felt by all.
Deer and elk routinely leave their babies bedded down in a safe space in order to not lead predators to their offspring. They will return to feed or move their babies.
If nature takes such care of its own, do we have any cares that we can’t trust with our heavenly Father?
